ok ... just an FYI ... I did the following: 1. Created an IP pool for my user with a single ip in it. - add ip pool staticusers iniTIAL_POOL_ADDRESS x.x.x.x size 1 2. Created a local user (ppp) - add user fixedip netWORK_SERVICE ppp password fixedip 3. associated the local user to said IP pool. - add addreSS_POOL user fixedip poOL_NAME staticusers as for the 2nd option ... we use BridgeWater Radius and that system has the capability of associating users to specific ips. The IP block will be assigned out of our portable ip block range and the individual /32's will be specifically routed. Users can connect in Halifax one week and in Vancouver the next and have the same ip address assigned, yet still route locally via the local core network. Hello List: This question is from a small ISP I am trying to help to setup a 3Com TC. Can I get some recommendation on which RADIUS server (LINUX O\S) most (small) ISP are using? Is there any preference between free vs commercial RADIUS servers? Thanks. Kirt

Alex: Lets look again. My HiPer ARC shows 13???K of memory and 8???K of Flash memory. Your response is that ARC memory comes in multiple of 64, 128, .. blocks. Therefore 13???K is definitely not the correct size? You agree? ARC memory???

This is my first try on a 3Com TC. I have a chassis wiht two HiPer ARC. It is my understanding that HiPer ARC needs 16MB of meory & 8MB of flash memory to support V.92. When I check the HiPer ARC, it shows memory as 13+MB and Flash memory as 8+M. Is it normal for an HiPer ARC to show 16MB as 13+MB or I need to upgrade the memory to 16MB? Thanks.
