Dear Professionals! Can anybody help me with enabling of "Caller ID" function on Total Control Analog/Digital modems? I have TC 1000 with NetServer Pri and Quad Analog/Digital modems cards. Incoming calls are going through the Modem NIC with common phone lines. TCM version - 8.2.6. Thanks in advance. Denis

mgt card failures

Has anyone else had a large number of mgt cards stop responding recently? Over the last few weeks, at least 20 of our cards have needed a reboot to become responsive. This is spread over a large geographic region and several code versions. Thanks.

Hi List: Finally I gave up for trying to connect/program a 3Com TC chassis using a Win NT (and dealing with Proxy Server). I just went ahead and setup a standalone Win XP PRO computer and it did the trick. My special thanks to Alex & support(a)isn.net for their help. If you have dedicated a machine to managing the box, my recommendation would be to just plug a crossover cable into the NMC and then put the other end on the Win98 box, that way you can be sure you aren't running into any firewall/proxy/nat issues. Hi List: I am having this problem with Total Control Manager and many people have tried helping. I am new to 3Com and I appreciate for all the help. For those who may not know what I am talking about, I was trying to connect to a 3Com TC chassis to program it. I was using a Win XP PRO PC to connect. I continued to receive a message that the "Device not responding". I switched to a Win NT 4.0 (SP6a) server. Same error message! Finally now I have setup a stand alone Win98SE PC. Still I am getting the same message. One Hint: When I connect to the 3Com using Hyper Terminal (COM1), I can configure it. Many people who tried to help me wrote back that they can access the 3Com Chassis over Internet IP 63.113.255.9. Problem: Is it possible that Total Control Manager is trying to access the 3Com Chassis over a connection other than COM1? How can I tell if the connection is being tried over COM1? Hi Alex, I got the NMC synced back to 5.4.1 and configured the DSP's/ARC's through the CLI (thank you *very* much for all your assistance in that. :) My NMC doesn't have any labels on the CPU (and the heat sync looks like it won't go back on if I try to remove it) but TCM says I have a NMC_CLK, does that give any clues as to which version of the hardware it is, and what the max flash version it can handle is? Hi, I have a customer who is looking for 2000 Quantity of the following cards: Quad V.34 Analog/Digital Modem NAC Quad V.34 Analog /RS232 with daughter board NIC Does anyone here have a surplus quantity of these cards?
