I will be keeping my new (to me) M15 moored on a fresh water lake in NW Indiana. Should I be concerned with the bottom finish? In the past I have finished my boats with an ablative bottom paint finish was wondering if a harder thin film finish (vc17m) would do. Then there is the continuous loop with the sheet block fixed on the loop - allows upwind over-center, or traveller to lee and maintains ability to use mainsheet for tension of the leech at ALL positions. Nice when on moderate air reaches and upwind in light air. (from my Penguin rigging days) GO M-17t how many transom adjustable travellers can we find???

I have searched the Ronstan web site for the parts you have listed but they do not come up. I suspect that there has been a change in the numbering system since you published the information. Do you have any recommendations as to how I can find the parts you recommend since there was no physical description of the parts? 3. I did a quick total on the costs of parts that I think might be right and they are approx $300 less line in today's boat $. Of course I have not visited a marine consignment shop to see what I can get to help keep the $ down. I see that the Harkin Small Boat Windward Sheeting Car is $319 I believe all I would have to add is Track @ about $80. M15 simplicity

For those that seek to make the M15 tricked out that is OK in my book BUT for me the beauty of this Jerry design is in its SIMPLICITY. You don't need no stinkin go fast goodies on this thing to make it boogie, when the wind pipes up you just need well placed movable ballast and good flat sails. "KISS" is the words to live by. I couldn't have said it better myself Sean....... Bones Lots of work but worth it! You have an incredible boat on your hands bud...keep the faith! I've been in that "OMG I'm never gonna get all this done" funk before.....but you will! AND....I'm telling you....it wouldn't be worth it for most boats....but the M23 is an incredible little pocket cruiser. Lyle really outdid himself when he drew the Montys. I was just talking to someone the other day and I told them that this boat, has for now at least....cured my 2 foot itis... I have had such adventures and she has done everything I have asked and more, that I have no desire to buy another boat to replace her with. All she asks is that you set her up right for the wind conditions ...and then sit back and enjoy the ride. Tom and Della can attest that we were out in 30 knot winds the other day.....double reefed and tiny headsail....and it was fun! Gotta luv that. Keep up the good work and keep documenting and showing us! Love seeing her get better and better.
