List Options - was The attachement flag

Only subscribed email addresses can post to the mailing list, view the archives, or view the membership roster. That helps keep the spam out. I know that some of you have two email addresses that you'd like to be able to post with, but don't want to receive two copies of list mail. Among a multitude of options you can configure about your subscription, one is called Mail Delivery. Disabling mail delivery keeps the email address subscribed, but posts are not sent to it. Also useful if you'll be on vacation and don't want a pile of messages waiting for you when you get back. If you haven't looked through the subscription options, take a wander to http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/options/montgomery_boats and look around. You might find something you like.

Montgomery 15 vs Compac 16

OK! Looks like I've sold the big boat and I am ready to go small. The short list is a CP 16, Compac Suncat, Montgomery 15 or 17 and maybe the new Compac 18 coming out sometime this year (so I am told). So,,,,, any comments, experiences shared or any info about the boats mentioned would be appreciated. The short, short list is CP 16 vs Montgomery 15. Thanks, Jesse

masking boot top

Does anyone have any hints or suggestions on taping off the boot top? Especially where the "jog" at the strakes occurs- it looks like the tape should come to an exaggerated point on the underside of each strake- have I got this right? We are reinstalling the centerboard tomorrow and the bottom is ready for paint- if only the weather would cooperate! Thanks, Ron Goodspeed

Epoxy

Is there an epoxy that is REALLY easy to mix to different consistencies (runny for soaking balsa, tacky for filling holes, etc.), that can be purchased in small quantities and that is carried by any local hardare store? My two most important criteria are versatility and ease of use. I want an epoxy that will cure correctly in hot humid weather. Am I asking too much? I'm not really concerned about price, within reason. Thanks!

Older M17 owners: If you have the tricolor running lights at the top of your mast, what do you call the thru-deck screw-in connection between the mast wiring and the boat wiring? Could a VHF coaxial cable also run through that same piece of hardware? If not, is there a different piece of hardware available that could be mounted in the same hole, but handle both the mast wiring and the coax? Or is my only recourse to add a second thru-deck screw-in connection for the coax? Thanks!

Possibly there's a fitting available, but Idano where to look for it.
