I've got about 5 Fuchs records. I think the best is the King Ubu Orchestra on FMP, "Binaurality", probably because it has the most variety of instruments. It's gaseous abstract improv of the highest quality. If you want Fuchs singled out more, he's got a solo record on FMP that includes a few duets. The ones with Evan Parker were particularly enlightening, ands his solo bass clarinet work really takes me to town. Hi! Does anybodyt know why Filmwo´rls XI is called "Under The Wing"? As far as I recall, this title is not written on the actual CD. If I remember, the only txt there calls it "Secret Lives" og "Hidden Lives" or something. But the Tzadik page and so on calls it "Under The Wing". Did I totally misunderrstand something?!?! It's beautiful material that he worked on for a long time, all completed and sitting somewhere in Italy waiting to be released. I've listen to the master a couple of month ago so I don't know exactly what happens. I've check during the weekend but I haven't found notice. The CD was great, also without the "Concert hall ambient" that for this show has a really great impact on the feeling.
