Why do people do this... I tried getting a ticket for the Birmingham show, just in case I don't get review pass... within 12 minutes the ticketmaster site was sold out.. Within 2 hours, the show was COMPLETELY sold out. Hi Chris, I got tix to the Miami show. Tix for Tampa go on sale tomorrow morning, and I'll be trying for those as well. I plan on attending both shows, and I'm going to try to weasel my way backstage to meet Sting, Stew & Andy. I'll be in NYC for the Giants Stadium show. I'd like to get up with whoever else is going and have a few "pre-juicers" before the show that day. I'll be in mid-town and will be able to go anywhere the list suggests. I know Rudy's in Hells Kitchen has the best jukebox and has plenty of Police songs on there. I don't think any amount of money was worth the stress yesterday, IMHO!!! At one point, I actually thought, well those darned scalpers deserve the money they scam if this is what they go through. I'm sure it's not though, they seem to have their tix secured before the presales go down. I want to be a scalper just to get my own tix! Maybe in some cases that is their job - could they be touts wanting to buy tickets early and then resell them after jacking the prices up? Given how popular this is going to be, they could probably name their price and recoup the time spent waiting... from: top40-charts.com/news Pop / Rock (2007-03-07) Cia Records To Release New Cd From Original Guitarist For The Police, Henry Padovani, On March 27 NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Cia Records) - In 1977, twenty-four year old Henry Padovani formed a band with a friend he?d met on the London club scene, drummer Steward Copeland, and a bass player who went by the name of Sting. And, while The Police went on to become arguably the most successful pop act of the 1980s, they did it without Padovani, who was replaced by Andy Summers in 1978. However, Padovani's association with Police manager and IRS Records founder Miles Copeland has continued through the ensuing three decades, culminating in Copeland's decision to release Padovani's first recording in more than twenty years, A Croire Que C'Etait Pour la Vie (When You Believed It Was Forever) on his recently founded label, CIA Records. And, in the spirit of reconciliation that is also marking the Police's own reunion tour, both Stewart Copeland and Sting join Padovani on one track on the CD, the aptly titled "Welcome Home." Also featured are drummers Manu Katche and Chris Musto, bassist Glen Matlock, and guitarist Steve Hunter. Perhaps best described stylistically as Leonard Cohen meets Serge Gainsbourg, When You Believed It Was Forever is sung entirely in Padovani's native French.
