I'd go for the membership. As you said, if you have 4 splitting the cost, then it's a great deal. The thing that kicks my butt is that I just want a single (to get a better seat) and that bumps your cost per ticket up $100! At least you know you'll get seats, period, w/the presale code. Although it's not guaranteed, I haven't heard of anyone not being offered a seat, quality may not be what was expected, but tix were there. Just found out we get lithograph too for our $100---yippeee!!! Where are you? I've heard a couple of offers of tix at cost from fenway and MN I can pass on to you if that's where you are. Good luck! my question wasn't meant seriously ... (but aren't the other thousands POLICE worthy fans as well? ) well it would be hard to find each other with thousands around so I was thinking of gathering at a pub or something.

Also... if you've just got the free level of membership, are you eligible for the presales? I'm guessing not, but thought I might as well ask before more dates get announced in my vague geographical area... Has anyone had luck in the presales for UK or mainland Europe tickets yet? Is it as complicated as the American system with Best Buy etc. seems to have been? Ang

Someone asked if $466 was excessive for Andy's new photography book (on Amazon.ca?) In the Sunday Times article there's a little footnote about how the book, from Taschen, is a limited edition which will cost £300. I'm disappointed; I hope that in the fulness of time there's a more basic edition for the financially challenged! Ang

What a day. Please ignore me now, I'm just ranting and my husband will roll his eyes. You guys seem to understand... Apparently, if the show is not a ticketbastard venue, watch out for the BestBuy presale. I had two codes from friends for Houston and could not access them without going through their actual rewardzone account, even copying and pasting the URL didn't work. What a waste of two perfectly good presale codes. Now I'm having to decide on whether to blow my TPT code on the slim chance to get a decent seat at the 2nd Dallas show ("post" presale), or one for Houston. I don't know what to flipping do. The closest show to home, and the most difficult to get. Here I was 2 feet away from Bono for $45, and I can't get in on the presale for this? You can use two codes and it will not affect your already purchased tickets. I did that same thing last week for the Cleveland show, then also used my fan club code the next day. By the way, thepolicetour.com fan club site states that you can only use the code for one transaction for 1-4 tickets. In Germany the estimated price still is 350 Euro. Ang this basic version will come without photos and text but with 10 pencils for your own drawing
