I saw this posted a while ago, but I am just getting around to reading it now. OMG, you guys. What is happening here? I'm so sorry. It seems that not only do we have the scalping problem, none of the "good" tickets are even available for purchase via presale or even the public sale. Here in the States, special auctions via ticketmaster and the "gold, silver, platinum" seats are the problem. Finally figured it out. They're "holding" the prices down to $225, yet making up for it by withholding the good seats and bumping up the price for those. I don't blame TPT at all for the lack of availability. Best Buy is fronting this so I think we're probably very luck to even have a presale. The quality of seats they were offered is not of their choosing, I'm sure. This, my dears is what we call a "clusterf***" here in the States. Not fun at all. another sad day here after day FOUR of trying to get a single decent seat in Houston. Great if I were 6 feet tall, that back floor would have been just fine. Not paying $225 to look at someone's butt the whole show (I inevitably end up behind the tallest person in the stadium as well...) Just hope some of these people that don't really want to go will get stuck w/lots of tix closer to the show and will end up losing money on the venture. That's what I'm counting on happening in Houston and Dallas #2, that's the only thing getting me through today, anyway! Keep checking the boards, you may find someone that found a better seat during the regular sale and will post their presale seat or sale. Great news, Scott! What we fans go through is amazing. All worth it though. I'm so very happy you'll be able to see them, not once, but twice! Who knows, that fall leg may make us even happier! If they end up doing Orlando then, I'm hoping to make my annual trek there (hasn't been too annual though, sting tours have taken away my "free pass from home") Were the venues able to accommodate you with decent wheelchair access spots? If you're like me, you'll be out the door before 4:30 for the Tampa show. That I-4 traffic freaks me out, I'd probably be at the venue by then! Of course, the Police are a staple, but one CD that I can always pop in no matter what is the Squeeze singles. Love every song on that album. Also could listen to the Queen greatest hits, (there were two versions, have both, but I prefer one over the other) Have to be in the mood for the Clash, Adam Ant, Talking Heads, Bowie. Think after the Police and Squeeze, Alanis Morrisette gets a lot of airplay for me. Once had my husband's colleague ask him if I was a man hating woman upon hearing what was in my car CD player. I hadn't met him yet, he must have been very afraid of me! Love Fiction Plane, so that's always in there. INXS Kick. As far as now, I went through a Gavin DeGraw phase, but the boy needs a new CD. Also like the killers, snow patrol, and think Susanna Hoffs has the purest voice out there right now. Check out the covers CD w/Matthew Sweet. I only have vinyl Supertramp, but now that my kids have taken an interest in that new one w/the Supertramp sample in it, I can't wait to go get the CD to share that w/the kids. Breakfast in America has to be in my top 10 favorite all time albums. I just really hope the people who queued up outside managed to get a ticket.. Ticketmaster sold out in 12 minutes (or at least, couldn't issue me with a single ticket, anywhere in the venue... Then surprise surprise, Ticketmaster's 'auction' site has a number of tickets available starting at £100 - £15 more than face value. They shouldn't be allowed to do that... conflict of interest and all that... J.
