I went to shoot Bryan Ferry last night (with a camera - however tempting - but that's another story) and on the way back to my car, I was speaking to an aquaintance who works at the NIA (Birmingham). She told me that there were people in tents up on the concourse outside the box office waiting to buy tickets for the Police gig - I'm sure she said 'about 500 people' but that seems way too high... As I'd had a pig of a shoot and couldn't really be bothered walking up the steps (the paper wouldn't use the photo anyway) I just walked back to the car... But people camping outside the box office??? Wow. Don't these people have jobs to go to? J.

Trials and tribulations of Dallas #2/Houston debacle.

So I finally blew my code. After hours of just a single, back, floor seat popping up for Houston, I used my TPT code for four $90 seats for "family night" for Dallas #2. After 4.5 hours, I thought it must be a sign---no one else wanted them. After a final tossback, I rationalized it thinking my kids would love to see Fiction Plane again, and I'd love for them to see The Police. In my mind, FP alone is worth $30 each for them; understanding their mom's insanity (the police), the extra $70, right? Ugh. Cramping my style, but I was feeling guilty. What if 20 years from now they say "my mom went to all these shows and didn't bring us..." Of course they'll be referring to fictionplane when they're mega superstars, like I refer to The Police back in the day....They saw FP when they were 4, 9 and 11, so it's only fitting she see them again when they're 8, 13 and 15, right? I'm for the presales to start and (hopefully) score awesome seats to the show at the MGM Grand. This is my home now (no longer live in San Diego where I sang with Sting) and so I will play host here. Anyone coming to Vegas, let me know. I have connections with some shows and restaurants and can sometimes even get some room comps for some of my people I bring out here. This was just posted on TPT An automated ticket broker script was programmed to start hitting our system at the start of presales today. Our security measures blocked the attack, but the automated scripts from the ticket brokers continued to try to find a way into our ticket system and all this build up of traffic caused the site to crash. We have stabilized the site and will continue with presales today as scheduled below. Here is the updated presale schedule for the remainder of March 8, 2007.
