Did you ever get that prayerbox thing finished or did you and simon have a tiff? and did you ever sell that old mixing board (and junk)? ehhm, - I mean valuable audio equipment. From my pagan religious news website I have just learn't that some woman sold grandpas walking stick for $65,000 on e-bay. hi folks - apologies for the (fairly) off-topic post, but i thought that a few of my friends on these lists might like to know that: after a fourteen hour marathon, starting at 3am on Sunday morning, November 28th, 2004... ...James George Frederick Sturt was born at 4.42pm on Sunday, November 28th - four and a half weeks early! - weighing in at a respectable 6lbs exactly. despite the early appearance, mother and baby are both doing well, and came home on Tuesday. if you're wondering why he sounds like an English politician from the 1940s, the two middle names are those of our late maternal grandfathers! he is, of course, a very handsome young man - and the wife and i are both over the moon (but VERY tired)... all i have to do now is finish decorating his room - i was meant to be doing that last weekend and this, but that plan got ripped up. ;-) cheers, folks - i'm off shopping for a new camcorder... --- Smiley ---------------------------------------- My Inbox is protected by SPAMfighter 99 spam mails have been blocked so far. Hi All, must admit that compared to other Orb releases Toxygene was twatty fair ground music, although once you get used to it its ok, but i wasnt impressed by the Orb does pop thing. Terrarvrm, was awsome, although i must admit it took me a while to "get it" they never did eclipese UFOrb imo, although there have been bits from the recent stuff that i think have been great. Once More was a bloody disaster though... Steve

Fehlmann's Low Flow

My pal Gel-Sol, whose MP3s I use as background music when playing Carom3D, but that is of no importance here and now, asked: .+.+. Has anyone heard Fehlmann's Low Flow yet? I heard it is good and not as .+.+. "minimalist" as Visions of Blah... And my answer is: No, didn't know he had a new disk, but as a matter of fact, I am a bit tired of The Orb and related products right now. I listened to the MP3 teasers of the latest Kompakt release and it sounded as Fehlmann, not as The Orb (liked the 'singing in the rain' tune though). THE Orb doesn't exist anymore, they should change names like Gong did decades ago and have a Thomas's Orb and an LX's Orb. The latest records are a bunch of unordened tunes from a lot of collaborators who all have happened to meet LX in the cafeteria (where he served some hot chocolate I presume). Not that they are all bad, B&T is even excellent at moments. Visions Of Blah on the other hand was all 'flow' but no music, quite a boring experience IMO. The Kompakt vinyls are no Orb, but Fehlmann trying to get an easy buck, sorry Euro, and LX enjoying the gravy train ride because he has to pay for his rent too. Maybe we sould all buy Gel-Sol records now and start discussing these... Felix PS: I would still give an arm and a leg for a genuine Blue Room 'long version' cd release with some extra collector goodies added on top...

wow - yall are killin me with temptation ;) quick point about palestine - what is the solution? israel - who supports them other than the US? if they had to "move" where would they go? if you could take a vote of the entire world population :: who should all die? palestinians or the jews? - what would be the outcome? i think the world would vote for dead jews in a landslide - seems to me the whole f'n world hates the jews except for america (for obvs reasons) i don't understand why if all these muslim nations are so mad about that conflict - why not invite palestinians to their country with open muslim arms?? note - i'm not terribly informed on the history of the conflict......just seems to me they are fighting over a shitty piece of land.......i guess it's a holy land to the both of them?? *****hey now! ON TOPIC! =P.......ehll........wot's the DEAL with kris/thrash??? why is he so bitter against the orb and the music he made? kris - we obviously don't see eye to eye politically - but I just wanted to say that i love the contributions you have made to that group. do you find it insulting to get these type of compliments??
