All the talk of the San Juans keep reminding me of the CD that Randy Graves sent me from the 06 trip. I pull it out at least once a year and enjoy it more each time! Digital camera are great- wish I'd had one during my several Mexico cruises. I have a bunch of cruddy old 35mm snapshots in a drawer but they aren't the same as digitals viewed on a big TV! Folks, It might be useful to know a boat's draft under various conditions, so I did some measurements, and wonder if others' estimates are in the same ballpark. Fully-loaded (and I mean fully) for two weeks on saltwater, the keel reached down about 27" (presumably 42" with the centerboard down). I just lauched my 2006 Montgomery 15 this week for the first time in Barnegat Bay NJ, and there is water in the sole of the cockpit almost all the time. Any one had this happen to them? Am I doing something wrong. Had 3 pjeople in the boat including myself. ?? Sandy

I get a little water in the cockpit of my M 15, just enough to get the main sheet wet. ?What I do is jam a sponge on either side of the center board line. ?This takes care of it. ?If I am in conditions where I think I may take a wave, I sail with them removed. Bert Zephyr, #365
