too little time

It has come to that point in my life that I must give up some of my activities. Sorry that Montgomery 17 is on the list. Thought I would announce it here first because we all know how tongues wag when we see a Monty listed on craigslist! My 1983 M-17 Sweet Pea is now officially for sale. I probably won't actually get around to listing it for a couple days. Asking $5000, 4stroke 4 horse Suzuki with maybe 15 hrs on it, rusty trailer with new tires galvanized wheels, new springs, new standing rigging, two anchors, new bulkhead mount compass. Porta-Potti...

Fitting the Porta-Potti to the hold by using boiling water inside and pressing the Tetford 125 Potti into place sounds feasable, but has anyone done this and what are the risks? I hate to buy a new Potti and ruin it. I cant believe that hold has been made so small for all these years. Is there an old model Potti that did fit it? Lou Aliotta

Rick, Cross sheeting is VERY convenient when sailing with crew. It keeps the little weasels out of the OWNERS space at the business end of the cockpit - let them start wandering around and next thing they start supplying advice and asking for cold drinks and meat sandwiches! Porta-Potti and Battery...

I'm trying to find a Porta-Potti and battery for my M-15. The little hold that was designed to hold a the Potti is only 11 1/2" by 15" on my boat and I'm wondering where I can find a potti that will fit that space. I checked out some other M-15s on line and saw the Thetford 235 model being used, however the dimensions for the 235 and 135 models are larger than that hold acording to the manufacturer. Can someone please advise me... I also need a battery to run my depth finder and eventually some lights. I would like to avoid using a big heavy battery. Does anyone have any experience in this area?
