Centerboard repair or replacement for M12?

The centerboard for our M12 broke off the boat during our last sail and we never did get a good look at how it was all put together. It looks like some sort of hardware came off of the centerboard. Does anyone out there have any M12 plans or centerboard pictures or know where I might find another centerboard or hardware that will work on the M12? Any suggestions you have would be appreciated. Tentatively count me and my wife Mary Lu in if it turns out to be Lake Texoma. She may stay in a convenient motel if there is decent wind forecast--she's a white knuckle sailor with over five knots! Since I am physically (as well as mentally--beat you to it!) handicapped, would need help rigging, launching, then the reverse at the end. Rejoyce! would love to meet some of her cousins! Wonderful idea! We'll help in any way we can! It would be interesting to see another fixed keel. We participated in the San Juan cruise last year and the Lake Havasu scavenger hunt in Feb. I can barely imagine driving 1,500+ miles towing Griselda, my fin keel M17, behind a compact SUV with the dinghy on the roof rack. I noticed that there are several M boats listed on the yahoo site in the area around Texas, Lousiana, Arkansas and New Mexico so, perhaps we can plan a get together in late October when it has cooled off and the weather is so nice in this neck of the woods. Lake Texhoma is pretty centrally located and big enough to cruise for a few days. It also has the advantage of being fairly deep which would be great for me with Griselda's 39 inch draft (thus the dinghy on the top rack). The fall winds are fairly consistant and it is a dry part of the year with warm, sunny days and cool, clear nights (less mosquitos too). I had thought about Corpus Christi or Galveston Bay but it would be a long treck for some of the folks and it is nice to cruise in fresh water. Is anyone interested? Hey Joe, No, there is no plan that I am aware of to change the message board over to Yahoo Groups. I'm not recommending that ,nor do I see a need to. I'm not the moderator of the MSOG list and wouldn't have the right to do it even if I wanted to (which I don't). Yahoo Groups just provided and easy way to establish a database list for an owner's registry that was searchable and easy to use. I think this webpage does an outstanding job at providing the MSOG message board, it is well known, easy to access, and I have never experienced difficulty entering it. I can't think of any reason to fix what's not broken. If Keith Diehl (the moderator here who does a stellar job) ever decided to no longer host the board, yahoo could be a option, but I have heard no grumblings to that effect and I will not "turn on" the message posting function of the yahoo page without a request from him. To do so would only splinter the group, exactly the opposite of the reason I put up the owner's registry (to get more of us in touch with each other). There have been an isolated number of folks that have had some difficulty accessing Yahoo groups and it usually pertains to them not establishing a Yahoo Groups username of password. Once you sign up, which is free, you sign in, and then all the functions of the page (like the database) are made available to you. The reason for this is that it eliminates spam from being posted (as much), and I'm sure it also allows yahoo to track folks gaining access to the site for marketing reasons. Neither of which is objectionable to me as they are providing the service to us for free. I hope folks will keep signing up......since I posted the reminder a few hours ago there have been 6 more boats added. I will occasionally post a reminder for folks that don't sign on regularly or who are new to the group. And hey........SMILE!!! A Fall Rondevous in the Southwest

Hey Dorothy and Eldor! We'd love to make a trip to another Monty rendezvous, unfortunately we won't be able to make Texoma this year. That's a trip equivalent in driving/towing to the trip to the San Juans for us. We'd just have to have more notice to work one of those in. Fuel,vacation time, spending cash, etc etc, etc all take us a while to save up. Thanks for thinking of us, though. Maybe we could put it on the books for next year. This year we've gotten to Catalina Island, San Diego, I'll be traveling to Monterey for the Cruiser's Challenge (sans Monty), and we'll be doing the Channel Islands in late August. One more trip and I'll be unemployed, divorced......or both! hahaha. Already planning on three weeks off for next June's San Juan trip. Less than a year to go Larry!!!! (no pressure!)
