Hi Gary, You have me thoroughly confused. What's with the 6th beer??? I haven't talked to Jerry about beer since I asked him for help regarding my centerboard trunk leak on my M15. That's when he suggested I fill the boat with water, lay down under the C/B truck with a beer, and wait for something to happen. When the water started to drip, I would know where it came from............ Idid: it did: and then I fixed it - several Fosters later, as per Jerry's suggestion (the most repair effective beer according to Jerry). No, I haven't seen Jerry over here on the Right Coast. I'm certain that he is smart enough to stay away from New England, and it's cold and snowy weather this time of year. Acapulco sound like a better spot to look for him. Connie

M15 centerboard pennant

I plan to take "Really" to Woodward Reservoir outside Oakdale later this month and beach the boat so I can change the centerboard pennant. Just for clarification, can I change the pennant without removing the centerboard pin??? Thank's for you help. Rich Cottrell "Really" M15 288

Hi Gilbert, You have me a bit confused. You say by removing the bow pulpit you were able to get the boat in the garage. The amazing thing is that my wives car also fits in there......... How many wives do you have? .....and they only have one car together? .......or should it have been wife's car? That line made my morning! The latest claim to fame for an M17 - the harem sailboat - the captain and his crew! Yes, compounding, polishing and buffing can be a chore, and the polisher gets heavy, however when you are done, isn't it a grand feeling to step back and look at the "new and improved" hull? This joy continues all summer long. Polishing a boat is a far more enjoyable pastime than watching inanities on the boob tube. Happy sailing with Sagitta and the "wives". Connie M15 #400

If you drop the tongue of the trailer as low as possible and push the trailer in by hand, you might be able to get it in without removing anything. Larry, I built a plywood canoe two years ago out of luan, and finished the interior with Cetol over epoxy. It looks great and has been very durable. The boat is stored outside, upside down on saw horses.
