You are right of course, the correct hull number on this 1981 is: Hull # MMP151891281. Let me know if looks right. Yes, the tides and currents are definitely an issue in the San Juans. I used the Canadian Current Atlas and the Washburns Tables to plot the days travel times to work with the currents. They are very easy to use and a big help, although we did find the currents to be about an hour later than the table showed a couple days. We even had the lowest tides of the year the weekend we launched but it wasn't really an issue. Just delayed the launch at Anacortes until the tide came back in a bit. Larry I don't know what's going on with the blocked messages. I haven't had any problems with anyone else. Storage of M-15

Hi Rick, The fairleads on the foredeck of my M15 are for the jib downhaul and for jib reefing (two sets of fairleads). My traveler is just the line going through the two holes at the transom that has the block on it for the main sheet. If you want to get fancier than that - main sheet control - then you'll have to get inventive! My M15 doesn't have any blocks at the aft end of the toe rail. If they are swivel blocks they must be for the genoa sheets. If they are fixed blocks, then I haven't a clue what they might be for. I'm sure you could install a small opening hatch on the foredeck but it would only be for ventilation. The deck is balsa cored, so if you cut an opening, be sure to seal the balsa core edges with epoxy to prevent any water or moisture from getting into the core (also all the bolt holes. Drill them oversize: fill them with epoxy, and when it has hardened, redrill to the correct size) Connie

OK I tried paddling the M-15 in a quiet Bayou with no wind or current and she tracks well. With my bungie tiller tamer, I was able to hold her on course. I still think that rowing will be difficult due to the wide beam but go for it. Let us know how it works out. PS Used my new jiffy reef rig the other day. Worked great and fast. Reefed down in 30 seconds (practice helps) Fair winds. Don
