FOTD 08-12-11 (A Study in Purple [7.5])

FOTD -- December 08, 2011 (Rating 7.5) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's image is the next to last in the parent fractal that results when 5 parts of Z^(0.7) are subtracted from 5 parts of Z^(0.5) and straight C is added. The scene of today's action lies in the west branch of the valley leading to the large bud on the north side of the grossly enlarged, violin-shaped main bud of the parent fractal. The generating expression is actually the same one that created the previous few days' images, though I simplified things a bit by changing real(p3) in the formula to zero and real(p1) and real(p2) to 5. The image is unusual in the amount of detail filling the otherwise commonplace elements surrounding the center minibrot. Since the violin theme is beginning to wear a bit thin, I could rate today's image no higher than a 7.5, which, perhaps a bit liberally, includes a half-point bonus for the coloring. The name "A Study in Purple" was inspired, if it can be called inspiration, by the purple elements in the image. The calculation time of 4-1/2 minutes borders on slowness. But the web sites once again ride to the rescue. solving dll probleme

Facing a impossibility to use my old compter program algorythme, i end up switching to a dos emulator... Dos box in question. The result seem sharp, works on lots of screen resolution, and show interesting phenomenon on screen res switching. a few bug but nothing too grave version 0.74 mix with my birth-date usually version X.74 work fine with me.... (wondering) so i will be able to work my color map again. just a different logic down my keyboard. this one is more relevant than pretty 7.5. i see a happy caractere in this recursion, what do you see? todo today... fishing for a texteditor or modification of my own. both ?. My logic is going to survive com pute er acceleration... even got a calculation speed switch. OUF... FOTD -- December 07, 2011 (Rating 9.5) Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts: Today's image lies in the same parent fractal as yesterday's, but instead of lying in East Valley, today's image lies near the terminal point of the filament extending from the large bud on the south shore of the main bud of the parent, which is shaped like the body of a stringed instrument. When I first saw the image, I had to double check to be sure I had not inadvertently reset the 'outside' to something other than the standard 'iter'. When I did, I found that the dagger- like features are real, and not mere artifacts of a fancy algorithm. (IMO, the equal-iteration-band method creates the only 'true' fractals.) The image, with its vaguely threatening streaks of brilliant colors, rates an honest 9.5, which is really outstanding by FOTD standards. I named the image "Starfish Playground" when something in the scene reminded me of an 8-armed starfish. The calculation time of 2-1/4 minutes is quite a bargain for such an unusual image. The internet engine is blinking a little some mysterious user in... To Jim Muth i have special attention!, you have a alterego in this jail (for me), and thus we can have good time also.. *i received a christmas gift*.. This parent fractal is far from being pretty but it can represent a scene who include the phoenix animal(not accurate) in activity, seem to me like a exchange. I think this particular fractal (the phoenix) who can also represent a pork is a relation who toutch a whole generation, a sign, a achetype.
