HI,
;
I added two more beautiful and interesting images,
both show some underlying symbolism.
Especially 54045-30 has that fascinating
energy similar to the "Strange Beauty" some
days ago.
What do you think?

HI,
,
the name needs no explanation.
It?s an image consisting of 2 times
Mmods - main and inside3 and
two times Manowar - outside
and inside2 with warp effect.
Still needs exploring - wait and see
or try it yourself.

You can say that again! It also has a very nice
balance between the amount of area covered with
features versus the area of black background.
This image makes me want to zoom into it everywhere...

HI,

The Holy Grail.
As the name indicates this is about
the mandel, what else. It sits in the
middle of the image on an altar ready
to be worshiped in all it´s glory.
The image has a huge amount of
interesting detals and should be
watched on a big flatscreen, if
possible.
Let the images do their part
instead of any more explanations.

Albrecht,
> ...the parts are differently coloured.
I can clearly see the two different parts of the
color map being used in the two different Julia
formulas.
The image seems to change between the two formulas
as the calculation crosses (approximately) the
diagonal lines: y = x and y = -x.
I really like this image (48000-TV.GIF)!

HI,
;
this is an image I tried but did not think it would
work - but if did!
It is a mix of two Julia type frms, Manowar and Spider,
Spider as outside. The result is amazing, because
the image is clearly divided into 4 parts crosswise
and the parts are differently coloured.

FOTD -- February 09, 2014 (Rating A-7,M-6)
Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:
Today's image lies in the parent fractal that results when 2
negative parts of Z^(-22) are combined with 10 negative parts
of Z^(-1.2) and (1/C) is added on each iteration. This parent
features an extraordinarily well-formed 'fan' with the blade
facing east. Today's image lies near the terminus of the main
spike of a rather twisted minibrot at the northern edge of the
blade of the 'fan'.
The art rates a 7. I put enough effort into the coloring to
make the rating an honest one. The math rating of a 6 is
appropriate, since the math trick is well over ten years old.
The name "Satin Ribbons" is a carry-over from an earlier but now
discarded coloring of the same image, though a bit of the satin
ribbon effect still remains.
The calculation time of 3-3/4 minutes is slow, which could allow
impatience and boredom to arise. Luckily, the FOTD web sites
can eliminate this danger.
The completely calculated image is posted online at:
<http://www.crosscanpuzzles.com/Archives.html>
<http://www.emarketingiseasy.com/TESTS/FOTD/jim_muths_fotd.html>
<http://www.Nahee.com/FOTD/>

Today here at Fractal Central began with clouds and flurries of
snow. In the early afternoon the flurries changed to steady
snow, which was falling fast as this FOTD was posted. The
temperature rose from a morning low of 3F -16C to an afternoon
high of 23F -5C. The fractal cats noticed the snow, then went
about their business of eating, sleeping and playing. The
fractal humans took it as easy as they could in anticipation of
path clearing that will be needed tomorrow.
The next FOTD will be posted at the right time. The most likely
right time is one day from now. To see how right this time is,
check back here early and often. Until whenever, take care, and
would the real Big Brother please stand up.

HI,
;
although there has been no feedback (sofar) on yesterday´s
somewhat provocative MOTD here now follows the second
part with some zooms.
;
Maybe some of you remember an image done with the
previous version of mfr (Land of wonders). This is similar
but with more details and without some ugly parts..
As I stated before, it´s possible with MFR12 to plan
and design an image.
;
The zooms all are pretty images with perfect - genuine-
symmetry. Yesterdays images are there too, to have them
all together.

FOTD -- Febtuary 07, 2014 (Rating A-7,M-6)
Fractal visionaries and enthusiasts:
Today's image takes us back to the large eastern bud of the
parent fractal of yesterday's image. But today we check the
easternmost of the two northern valleys leading to the bud.
I named the image "A Sweet Tooth" when something about it
reminded me of candy.
The art rates an 8. I might have done better by trying
different outside options, but laziness won the day and I went
with the default equal iteration bands, which for some reason
are not consecutive in today's image.
The calculation time of 6-1/2 minutes is rather slow for a
humdrum fractal with no fancy bells and whistles. Checking the
web sites can save time, and who knows, there is always the
chance that a bell or whistle or two might have been added as a
variation.
The web sites may be accessed online at:

Lots of sun, a high temperature of 28F -2C and light winds made
today quite bearable here at Fractal Central. The fractal cats
enjoyed the sun, which at its angle at this time of the year,
falls the strongest on their shelf in the southwest window. The
humans meanwhile had a totally human day.
The next FOTD will probably not be posted until February 9, two
days from now. Until then, take care, and time could be our
awareness of the changes we see as we move at the speed of light
through the four-dimensional spacetime continuum one three-
dimensional slice at a time.
