TotalControl console cables

We have inherited a couple of TotalControl RAS chassis, but not the console cables. We have tried to make some using a number of 'specs' we found on the net for them - RJ45 to DB9 null modem cables - and while I get a display, I have no keyboard control - so apparently they are incorrect 'specs'. Make MRTG of TCH by each slots

Dear guys. When I make MRTG for connect users of TCH 1000, CFG file 의 설정값에서 I set in CFG file as below Target[tch]: 1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.2.1.10.0&1.3.6.1.4.1.429.4.2.1.10.0 and it shoes all connect users in chassis. How can split for each slots not total chassis for MRTG? For example, only available 1st slot, 2nd slot, 3rd slot or 1st ~ 5th slots etc.... Help me to figure out ARC's pwssword

Please somebody help me that When I connect to Hiper ARC Card of TCH 1000 through Consol, it's locked by it's own login password not default "admin". It makes me cannot set at all. How can I get it back as an default status? Anybody let me know. Thank you so much. Best Regards Ms.Choi

Configuration Steps

Hi!! I got a 3Com box. It declares as "3Com Total Control". The interfaces it includes are One NMC, One HiPer ARC, 15 Quad V.34 ANG/DIG Modems Cards, One PSI and their corresponding Interface Cards. It has a problem: doesn't respond on Console. So I have to communicate it with "Total Control Manager" with default user/pass pair through an IP Address of NMC. I have earlier configured some Terminal Servers like 3Com Total Control NetServer, Cyclades PR3000, PortMaster 2e etc. But this time as I don't get the Command Prompt I will have to configure it thoughr the "Total Control Manager". I can configure DNS, Gateway, RADIUS Server etc though it. But the modems are not respondig. I was searching for a very basic step by step guide or some case studies and found none. I heard that I have to assign the Quad Modem Card to the HiPer ARC. But how do I will do it? I don't know. Any help? -- Sifat

I would like to bump this questions again and ask another. Where could I get a lower version of the ARC software? If I have to downgrade all the way to v4.1.11, I will (If I can). I am at a point where I need to move these boxes to production and cannot mess around with them anymore.... If a telco has T1's configured as NI-1, what setting on the DSP should I use for switch type? NI2 doesn't work - gets a fast busy. Anyone know, or do we have to have them reconfigure it? Thanks, Joel

hi, i am recv. a bulk of such errors... At 12:43:18, Facility "Driver", Level "CRITICAL":: Deactivating Timer Fired on interface: slot:9/mod:16 when i telnet into the box and do >list interfaces it shows slot:9/mod:16 Down/Up but the rest of the interfaces are all Up/Up i have tried to do.. enable/disable/enable interface slot:9/mod:16 and even reset modems interface slot:9/mod:16 but error stays... any pointers to fix? (the leds are all green and healthy by physical inspection) rgds,
