snmpwalk .1.3.6.1.4.1.429.1.6.9.1.1.4.<modemNumber> is what I have been looking for except that I need to expand the output to show a list of 'all' Called-Station-ID info for all current connections. Does anyone know what change to <modemNumber> parameter possible wildcard like *.* would produce a complete list for _current_ connections? Or if it is even possible? Kirti, Have you tried using the command "mon ppp" to view the users session. It will provide you with the protocols, source ip addrs, dest ip addrs, acknowledgments and etc. It might help you determine what/how your clients are communicating across the wire. Kris, I take it that your LEC is randomly sending you calls from any of the numbers you have riding on your T1. I had the same problem. Get on the console port of your T1. From there you can assign your phone numbers to answer on a single channel or a group of channels. I don't have all the details in front of me right now, but it is a 3 step process and very simple. Once it is complete you can highlight all your modems in Total Control Manager then -> Performance -> Session Monitor, which refreshes every minute by default. Local authentication would be individual users created on the ARC. Therefore not requiring authentication from outside RADIUS servers. These are accounts such as root or adm. Local users Authentication

While reading 3COM TC1000 documentation for HiPer ARC, I noticed two settings; (1) enable authentication remote & (2) enable authentication local. I believe that 'authentication remote' is to authenticate the user on a remote server, such as RADIUS. However, I do not know what the 'authenticate local' setting is? Can someone explain. Kirti

I need an automated way to see what numbers my users are connecting to at say 5 minute intervals. I have a TC1000 box that has about 15 different cities going to 5 PRI lines. We are having to do a capacity study and I need to know which cities are being dialed and whom is connected to those cities. This way I will know which cities we need to upgrade trunking capacity in? Your 3com may be set for 1514, but what's being set by the radius server? That's where the problem usually is.
