Any ideas? This unit is running 15 Quad Analog/Digital Cards, a Hiper ARC, and NMC. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

I know they are scarce, but I am hopeful.
Anyone have the Dual E1 nic.
Not Dual T1/E1 nic - for some reason never get the E1 circuit up with these
nics.
Let me know if you have any available I give you an offer and pay freight in.
Thanks
Also still buying 130A DC power sets (PSU/PSI)- paying $150ea

I have two Dual T1/PRI cards that currently have 3.0.2 on them. I want to run
Channelized T1, and the install guide says that Channelized T1 is only
available with version 4.0 or later. How do I go about getting the software to
upgrade the card?
Thanks

Hey guys. These just in.
Pricing should be better for you guys that always contact me for E1 cards.
I know it doesnt compare to the T1/PRI's but the markets are different and
the T1's are all over the place where the E1's are much harder to locate.

The USR TC's are capable of interfacing the modems over a telnet
connection, or so-called reverse telnet. UTstar describes how to get
this going, for instance:
<quote>
1. set modem s(port#) active
2. set s(port#) login network dialin device /dev/network
3. set s(port#) service_dev telnet 6001 (or any telnet port)
4. set s(port#) service_login telnet
5. save s(port#) or save all
6. reset s(port#) or reset all
>From the PC on the network
telnet x.x.x.x (netserver ip address) 6001
You can now type AT commands
</quote>
Connecting to the Netserver ('telnet x.x.x.x xxxx') works, but any typed
characters seem to end up in a black hole. Nothing is echoed back, and
typing stuff like ATIx etc triggers no response, either.
Dip switch tweaking needed? Ideas?

We recently aquired two 3com/USR Total Control (network hub) with the
quad modem cards. Both units are equipped like this:
1 T1/PRI card (NIC: RS-232 + span 1 + span 2)
12 quad modem cards (digital, no NICs)
1 Netserver PRI card (NIC: RS-232 + ethernet 1 + ethernet 2)
1 NMC (NIC: RS-232/EIA561 (CH1+2) + BNC/AUI/ethernet)
Issue #1: On the Netserver PRI card, the RN/FL and LAN/TX leds are solid
red, always. In TCM, the NAC isn't recognized at all (question mark). We
tried to do a firmware upgrade, but pcsdl doesn't connect (all dip
switches are off). Sometimes, if we boot the rack while pcsdl is trying
to connect, the RN/FL will blink green about 10 times, then all the leds
are shut off. It seems to only happen after we've physically re-seated
the NAC/NIC, though. We try to flash it with li030421.sdl/li030534.nac.
This may of course be a hardware problem, but the problem is on two
totally separate units.
Issue #2: Because of #1, we wanted to try upgrading the NMC. We only
find <filename>.dmf files lying around, and TMC doesn't seem to like
that file extension (configuration->software download only seem to
accept .nac files).
Any clues? UTstar didn't even respond when we asked them about their
support rates/contracts. :/

Hi!
some users were encountered carrier loss during or while connected.
with this, the usage w/ carrier loss encounter an overlap connection
becaue the ras was not able to send a termination request to the
radius. does anyone encounter with this kind of problem? pls advise.
thanks,
Looks to me like a bad NAC. I'd call support for part replacement.
