I have to add that my NMC even doesn't detect netserver card (it detects nothing!). Is it a bad card? how can I repair it? Thanks Shahrooz

The nmc is only necessary for management. Unless quads act differently than HiperDSPs, you will not need the NMC to function. When I've seen the question marks, usually TCM or the NMC software is older than the HiperDSPs/quads. Since quads are pretty old, I'm going to say you should try to get a newer version of TCM. NMC card

I have a NMC card don't detect any quad analog/digital modem cards and E1 hiper dsp, it's software code is 6.1.7 How can I upgrade that? I don't have any code for NMC card. Please guide me. Best Regards Shahrooz Sharghi

Total Control swap around

Hello I am hoping someone on this list might be able to help me out. I have been unable to procure the latest matching firmwares for my 3com/USR TC1000 to make the NMC, ARC and PRI modem cards all work together properly. The older loads have handshaking problems with V.92 modems alot and is causing much frustration. Because of this I am hoping someone might be interested in a swap around, I have the following: 4 x USR TC1000 Chasis (2 in use) 4 x USR TC1000 PSUs (2 in use) 8 x Single PRI (24 modem) Cards (8 in use) 1 x Dual PRI (48 modem cards) 3 x ARC Cards (all different revisions) (1 in use) 3 x NMC Cards (all different revisions) (1 in use) What I am trying to accomplish: 1 x USR TC1000 Chassis with Dual PSUs and 192 modems with V.92 loads with latest NMC,ARC loads sending watchdog packets to the radius server. If you can sell me a preconfigured unit, would like to work a trade out or have all the cards firmwares please let me know at clint(a)1starnet.com

quad analog/digital modems

Hi all I have Some quad modems they don't answer the calls. I replace their NIC with another tested NICs also upgrade the modem software the latest version (6.1.86), still I have the same problem, how may I fix this problem? Thank you very much Shahrooz

v.90 support

Greetings List! I have so many questions, eh? Well, here's my next one. Now that I've ressurected my HiPer NMC's, have coupled them with HiPer-II ARC's, and have HiPer DSP modem cards, I should have a v.90 capable platform. I'm using the following software Versions: HiPer DSP: 3.5.12 (lists v.90/X2 settings in the configuration tables) HiPer ARC-II: 5.3.2 (I think I saw somewhere that V.90/X2 is DISABLED) HiPer NMC: 8.7.2 (Software Compatibility Version 8.2.0, whatever that means) V.90 DISABLED So, by nature of the function being DISABLED on my ARC and NMC, I assume that v.90 will not work? Or will it work since the cards support it? I really, really need v.90 support for deploying this unit (in two days), so I guess I'm going to have to use my older NMC card. Said older NMC card (grey handles, 486sx cpu) lists v.90 as supported. However, will using the HiPer ARC-II which doesn't support v.90 cause a problem? I'm pretty sure it doesn't support v.90, but I just can't remember where to look. I'd appreciate anyones' advice or thoughts on the subject. Thanks! - Nick
