Hiper ARC Won't Take Software Update

Got a Hiper ARC with verion 5.3.3 on it. Tried to update and it just absolutely won't take the code. Just did a different one, same original version, same update, and it worked fine. On this bad one, the download (through TCM) completes fine. Once completed, I give it a hardware reset, it take an extremely long time to come up, and then once finally booted, it still has 5.3.3 on it. I had this happen once before, but can't remember how I got around it. Any suggestions? Thanks, Joel

"frozen" connections on HiperARC and DSP

we are getting a lot of customers with "frozen" connections when they are connected to our chassis with HiperARC and DSP(r2) spans. They cant ping our HiperARC for a long time (more than one minute) after a few minutes of connection, but when they connect to our chassis with NETServer PRI, Quad(dig), Dual PRI their connection is ok. on Commworks's user forum its written that it can happen if we have an old version of software. i'm unable to get a new software. can anybody send me this files: cem100.tar ne050702.zip hm100105.zip hr030704.zip he030704.zip Thanks, alex

Netserver problem sending Accounting packets

Hi there. I have a Total Control Chassis with a NETServer Card (running V3.4.23 of code). I have configured both authentication and accounting to a radius server. However, though the NAS sends authentication packets, it does not send any accounting packets to the radius server for any users that get successfully authenticated. Without knowing specifics of your line, which is DAMN hard to get from Qwest - they all act like they honestly don't know. First, I'd try DMS100 if that's what it is. Go back to NI2 when all else fails. Second - NFAS Interface ID - this is assigned by the telco and has to be correct or you'll get a busy signal. Sometimes Telco's do wierd things with this - the other day I had a 2-PRI NFAS group and the telco set them up as 0 and 2. Make sure these are correct. NIC type - unless your Total Control is actually colocated at the telco - this should be long haul. Jitter Attenuation - don't know that it makes a big difference, but should be receiver rather than Txmtr. Trunk Start Signal - I think should be wink rather than immediate. Just did a DMS100 the other day and pretty sure it was wink, but I could be wrong. We are switching from channelized T1s to PRI at a few POPs. The first test isn't going well. The only thing the telco (Qwest) can tell me is ESF and B8ZF and the switch type of DMS-100. However, he said to use NI2 on a TotalControl chassis even though the switch is a DMS100. All I get when calling is a busy. The tech turning things up just says that we aren't talking, and he isn't providing any more input. I have played with config settings, and I can't seem to make any difference. yep - no way to blow out the ARC without being there, unless you have a modem cabled to the console port. I thought maybe I could blow it out and then use TCM to set an IP address on the ARC - the options are there, but don't seem to do anything. Hiper ARC Question

An unsupported command might be your best bet. _quicksetup It pretty much reconfigures everything.. As far as wiping it.. I'm not sure how thorough it is, but it might be your best bet. It may leave some residual settings but I don't think so, I think it rewrites the entire config file for the arc.
