TC1000 looking for a consultant (small ISP in VT)

Hello, We recently replaced our TC1000 with a newer model. The goal to upgrade so we can offer V.92 and perhaps to eliminate some hardware failure trends that we were seeing on the old box. Now that the newer chassis is installed we are seeing connection success rate falling and are not understanding the V.92 modem process. Our techs have reached their limits. We suspect that the box is trying to fullfil V.92 requests but something is wrong in our configuration and causing that V.92 attempt to degrade the users experience (slower connection) then when we only offered V.90... Small Rural VT ISP Is there an experienced user on this list that can be contracted for remote review of our configuration and perhaps optimising/troubleshooting our Total Control? Monitor ethernet bandwidth on hiperarc with MRTG?

Hi everyone - I've got a question that I'm guessing has been answered, but I haven't been able to find in the archives or on the net. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction... Does anyone know the MIB for monitoring bandwidth on the eth:1 interface for a hiperarc? The closest one I've found is 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.3, which is "the total number of octets trasmitted out the given interface, including framing characters". Not exactly what I'm looking for. If I poll that I get the number of octets its outout, but when I monitor the hiperarc with a program like Solarwinds's Bandwidth Monitor, I get the in/out kbits per sec usage. Thats what I'd like to get on an MRTG page... Do I need to writeup a script that would poll it once a second, 2 times, subtract the 2 figures to get the difference (which would be number of octets in that one second), then that would be my bytes per second transferred outbound and use that? What can be reason for modem interface (for example slot:1/mod:1) being OperStatus down? This port's timeslot shows that its in ds0ReceivingBlock state.

HiPer arc/dsp-s rebooting

Last few month our chassis is experiencing a huge problems. We have 6 DSPs 1 ARC and 1 NMC. ARC has 64Mb ram and 8 Mb flash. DSPs reboot at least once per day. ARC - once a week. What can be reason for this? What can I do to prevent rebooting? P.S. how can I open support ticket or smth. like this with commworks if I don't have contract, or where can I buy contract?

In investigating why I am getting auths against a secondary radius server I came accross the sho accounting counters command. need to see area code + phone number for dnis info

ok, i want to be able to see the full phone number including the area code when i get a list of incoming numbers dialed. right now it only shows me the ###-#### i found a setting under call control options that lists the dnis incoming call digits which sounds promising but the default setting is 0 and i don't want to break anything. is this where i would change that and what would i put for the number? i am trying to do this to keep track of how many people are calling in from a couple of new area codes that we just added service in. thank you. matthew
