At this point in the game I'm not inclined to bop out what, a grand (? per year?), for this pretty crude software. I couldn't get the CEM beta to install. Instructions totally suck. I'm not sure what they're thinking. Not that I dedicated the day to it. With as crappy as the instructions and install is, doesn't make me believe the program is going to really be worth a pinch of snot. Changing configuration setting in Hiper Access Router Card

Hello, I'm trying to setup a Hiper Access Router Card using Hyperterminal. I've got (I believe) pretty much everything setup but I'm needing to change one thing. If you were to run a sho ppp setings at the command prompt, towards the end of the info that is listed I'm needing to change this setting: PPP Process RADIUS Challenge during PAP: I'm needing to change it from DISABLED to ENABLED. I've done this once before but I've forgotten the command(s) that I need to type in. Could someone point me to where I could find documentation or just tell me what I need to type?? Thanks-You, jim

Problem with USR Sportster 56K and v.92

I recently upgraded our TC chassis to NMC 8.6.3, HARC 5.3.110, HDSPs 3.5.109. I enabled v.44 data compression and all the v.92 settings on the HDSPs. I had a few problems with folks staying connected while the v.92 PCM Upstream setting was enabled. Basically they would connect fine then get dropped after a few minutes with a failure to retrain error. So, I disabled PCM and everything seemed fine. Newest problem is with a Sportster 56K modem. It will start to handshake then a second or two into the handshake it will give a long, high pitched tone and fail to connect. If I disable the v.92 master setting on the HDSP it will connect just fine. Has anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions? Walt ----------------------------------------------- Walter N. do you have radius secrets correct? actually what problems do you have? (try set chapfst on/off set pap off/on if you radius can/cant do chap and set radius_option ...) > I am running radius on NT4.0. TCS 4.7 code HELP!!!

Remember that TCS 4.7 is only compatible with Common Element Manager. I'm pretty sure you'll need a package install key as well. Am I the only one that thinks CEM is much more difficult to use than TCM? HiperDSPs not talking to Telco

We just upgraded one of our small POPs from Quad modems and NetServers to HiperDSPs and HiperArcs. I have configured the HiperDSPs like the T1 cards were but we aren't taking calls. The telco sends us a siezure and gets no answer back. The switch is a DMS10. The CO tech said he is seeing the following: Trunk 17 Message: Sender timeout occured durring selection of an outgoing trunk. They don't see answer supervision back, so they drop the call. I have tried changing Signal Modes, adjusting the E&MII timers with the telco, but nothing seems to work. I would appreciate any feedback ff anyone has any ideas. You're right - CEM does look difficult - the installation instructions are killing me. TCS 4.7 code HELP!!!

It seems that Source-T does not have ANY of the TCS 4.7 stuff on their website to download, and I was gonna try upgrading to it today. NetServer Radius

I am running radius on NT4.0. I am adding an additional netserver and am have an authenication problem. I believe that it is because of a older version of netserver. If anyone can provide a copy of version 3.8.1, I think this will solve my problem. Thanks for your help. Best Regards, Glenn
