I'd just like to say that whoever made that comment about "the drumming in The Doors not being that great" is really out of line. Densmore is a great drummer. In many ways his playing may be more similar to a jazz drummer's than your average rock drummer but I don't see that as a bad thing. I seem to recall Stewart mentioning him (in the same breath as Mitch Mitchell and Ginger Baker) as one of his favorite drummers. Also, to those skeptical about the "21st Century Doors"... as someone who's seen Stewart live a few times, I say any chance to see Stewart live is a good thing - no matter who he's playing with. Hi everyone! After the untimely death of John Entwhistle, it occurred to my daughter that the Who is missing their original bass player and drummer, and that Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr aren't really all that busy.... now I realize the bass player from the Police is not available ;-), but wouldn't the Who be a better choice than the Doors for Stew? Any other suggestions for a better "hybrid"? Have a great weekend! Holly

Hi all, Michelle asked about "The Very Best of Sting and The Police" being advertised.That collection was released in 1997,but earlier this year it was re-released in the UK with a few changes to the track listing."Russians","Roxanne '97"(with Puff Daddy) and another ("Let Your Soul Be You Pilot",I think) have been removed,and "So Lonely","Brand New Day" and "Desert Rose" have been put on in their place. According to Sting's official site,this new version of the collection is only now being released in the USA.The only other difference as far as I can remember is that instead of the original cover photo of Sting looking over the collar of his overcoat,it has the famous black and white "hand-to-head" shot which I think is from the "...Nothing Like The Sun" era. What's up with this?

Hey there, I feel like I'm in the twilight zone... I just saw a commercial on the E! Channel for Sting, I got all excited thinking there was something new I didn't know about (the book, something, anything)! It was for The Very Best of Sting and the Police. Really bad commercial, they're talking about Brand New Day while showing the Police doing Every Little... They said this "New" CD has just been compiled. I'm pretty sure this is the same one that I've had for years, but since I haven't unpacked my CDs yet from the move, I can't confirm it. Anyone else see this? It was on during the 2nd showing of Howard Stern. Michelle
