Jon Stewart did a cute bit at the opening of last night's show about losing
to Sting at the Emmys. He said, "Okay, do you want to hear me say it?!?! I
lost to Sting!!" He continued, in a whimpering voice, "But Sting is so good!"
Then he said, "You probably don't know this, but four weeks ago I beat Sting
in a Battle of the Bands competition. We had a fiddle duel and I beat him
with a little Charlie Daniels [riff]. Yeah, that's right, I beat him with a
fiddle!!"
It was nice to hear him lose so graciously! The little comedy bit was
actually very complimentary to Sting!
