I would say that all in all, Sting had to eventually acquiess and Stewart's instincts were correct: they have now returned pretty much to the original tempos/sounds of the songs, bowing to the critics and their fans. And I say, good for them! That shows wisdom and insight and the willingness to change. my favorite quote: How do you reply, I ask Copeland, when people say this is a pension tour, that you are just doing it for the money? ' "F*** off!",' Copeland laughs. 'Look, what part of getting together to do a world tour, and playing to 80,000 people screaming at you every night, on songs that everybody loves, don't they get? Louisville show

Just got back from the Louisville show and I'm still pumped!! To say they rocked would be understatement! They sounded AWESOME! I've never seen Sting smile so much, his voice was amazing, Stewart is absolutely phenomenal. I loved the re-worked songs. I'll give a longer review tomorrow, must get some sleep! Louis

He kept asking the reunion question all the time.... the best thing for me (as a German) is the nice foreword by one of Germany's most famous "musicians". It's singer CAMPINO from DIE TOTEN HOSEN - this punk band might be known to some people even outside Germany as they played in England and Argentina a few times. Surprisingly the singer LIKES The Police and his foreword is a very nice piece of writing - there's also an interview in the book taken from a German issue of ROLLING STONE, where the author interviews Campino and Sting - together. there are also a lot of photos taken during the interview sessions, some tickets, some photos from 2007 (you'll know them all) and a short timeline at the end... So for all fans who can read some German this is a very nice book. If you're into interviews... For me it's a mixed bag, because these are all interviews taken after the POLICE "split". Dietmar

I have been listening to the all-day Police (and Police-related solo and side material) marathon at http://www.wbwc.com/listen.asp and while listening to this I learned about some awesome shows that coincide with the Cleveland show & want to pass this along in case its of any interest to those going to Cleveland, if your schedule allows: Sunday, July 15 Squirrel Nut Zippers at Beachland Ballroom 7pm $18 (Ticketmaster) Monday July 16 Police Stewart's Birthday Show Quickens Loan Arena!
