Those of you who know me know that I've been posting on here for years and hold the highest regard for Sting. I adore his music, his talent as an artist, and am forever grateful that my adoration lead to my meeting an equally adoratious fan who a year ago became my wife :-) BUT (and I may be a couple of days late to this), I want to express a big FUCK YOU to Sting. Live Earth was building up to be a great event to expose The Police to the rest of the world once again. Yes, everyone should recycle and buy compact fluorescents and bio-friendly cleaning products. But I think planet Earth healed itself a little bit when The Police came on. She was confused when John Mayer was introduced, but then she realized Mayer was always a Police fan (not one of those latecomers who didn't know about them a year ago) who actually had talent. Things were looking up for our planet , Live Earth, The Police, and music in general. But 07/07/07 was the day the music died. As soon as Sting introduced Kanye West, my respect for him went out the window. You're the fuckin' Police! You don't even need Mayer, but he's a huge fan and he's ok in my book so I'll let it slide. But then you bring on some no-talent chump to belt out "yeah, yeah, yeah's" and incoherent dissonent kiddy lyrics in the middle of what some might consider your most iconic song?... Fuck off Sting! I blame that decision on you and you alone. Even if it wasn't your idea, I know you aproved it despite Andy and Stew's opposition (and IF Andy and Stewart approved it too, then fuck you to all three of you). You're THE POLICE!!! You can't improve on The Police by bringing in some low-life talentless name-of-the-month to appeal to the younger crowd. You're actually doing the younger crowd a disservice. Teenagers today still think Every Breath is a Puffy song. Worst of all, I'll Be Missing You is considered "classic rock" by today's youth... Does Sting not know a good thing when he's IN one? And while I'm at it, does no other guy here feel like his childhood was raped when watching Transformers? If Optimus Prime and God are one of the same (and as an 8-year old I thought they were), then Michael Bay will burn in Hell... Video of Shows Long Past

So, I read a few reviews of the Chicago show. Yes, I've said how great I thought it was. However, one reviewr said that if you take the shows today, multiply them by ten to get how cool The Police were in concert back in the day. So, my question is is this: Is there any bootleg video footage of shows? If The Police were that awesome back then, wouldn't there have been early adopters of video cameras who shot full concerts? Hi Jon I use Audacity for recording streaming audio. Hello everyone, I need help trying to save audio that is streaming. I know there is software out there to use, but if someone with more knowledge could help me out; it would be great. All I am looking to do is save it as an MP3.
