My incredible experience in Chicago

Hy everybody sorry for the delay in the report but IÂ´ve been (still)extremely busy this week. I flew to Chicago from Argentina for my first Police concert in my life. Andalthough it didnÂ´t start quite well )delayed flight, missed conncection, luggage not showing up) everything went great. We went with a friend of mine from Uruguay, Analia. We went to Wrigley Field early in the afternoon because we anted to see if we could catch Andy, Stewart and Sting when they arrive to the stadium and al least listen to the sound check form the outside. Nobody from the security was very kind to tell us whether thry have arrived or not, or when the shound check was scheduled. We walked around the stadium and decided to wait when we saw a Chicago police car and two Â¨PoliceÂ¨ white vans. I could saw Stewart inside. We ran to the gate where they stopped and shouted at them telling we had came from South America. Stewart looked at us and raised one hand. We felt lucky we were at the right place at the right moment and could at least see them. Some minutes later something incredible happened^Stewart came out. We called him and he crossed the street and came to where we were standing. He said hi and let us take a couple of pictures. I was stunned!! I didnÂ´t know what to say. Better late than never

Finally throwing my 2 cents in the kitty about Live Earth! I agree, Kanye West was awful, but I can't believe that it was the band's fault -- I'm sure it was someone else's idea. I also saw Sting sipping from a teacup during the performance -- I think he was DEFINITELY having vocal issues. He was surely struggling during Roxanne. Still, a nice preview for me -- my one and only concert is next Friday, and this was a good way to start the excitement! Thanks for all the pix -- I am still lovin' our online album (photobucket.com, policetour, password Sting)! I have been crazy with work-related stress, so taking a few minutes to read the mail from the list is a welcome relief, even the rants (with which I agree -- and whoever made the remark about Kipper, the bane of my existence, you are spot on!!) I was recording the feed on the computer and didn't realize my recorder not only taped the feed, but my and my 8 year old's conversation for the whole thing. I haven't listened to it yet, but can't wait to see if my gasp of horror can be heard! I almost deleted it when I discovered what I did, but now, it may be hysterical! I can understand the John Mayer thing (not that I'm a big fan of his, but since he loves the Police, I can see why he was up there) Kanye West, just horrific and embarrassing. Yeah. yeah. Please.
