Hello all, I enjoyed meeting many of you at the fan club show in Vancouver. Due to some changes in friends' plans, I have three extra tickets for the Cleveland show in a few weeks: Single in Section 125, Row 13 Pair in Section 5 (Floor), Row JJ http://www.ticketmaster.com/seatingchart/40976/17100 I only asking for them what I paid ($220 each ticket) and I'll even throw in cool people to hang out with, perhaps a pint of Guinness, and a free place to crash! Oh, good for you! Think if you want a T-shirt 40-50, program is 20-25 (it was 25 in Canada, but they jacked the prices up there for the exchange rate) and then the other stuff really wasn't too bad (buttons, 10 or so, lanyards I think the same) Is there an organized gathering in Dallas on TPT? I am interested in that as well. I'm going to the tuesday show in Dallas...it's only 5 days away....I'm so excited! I just want to know about how much money I should take with me. If you go to thepolicetour.com, you can see pretty much everything. If you're a member there, you may even save a few dollars by ordering it there w/our discount. I'm not sure how it pans out w/shipping, but I know it's easier for me to not deal w/that stuff at the show. The program is really nice quality, they have lanyards, the old keychains that I have from the 80's, pins, a few jackets and several t-shirts in both men and women's cuts. I have the brown women's one which I really like. I'd post photos, but don't think we can on this board, right? I think there is only 1 shirt w/their current aged images on it. Typical t-shirt prices, $40 and up, and there's actually one I saw for $90 which I'd love, but that's insane!!! Nice black hoodie w/Japanese tour stuff on it. Trying to think of what else. Posters for $10, little blinkie lights everyone seemed to have on, the usual media (cd's & books) Fiction Plane has three really nice t's as well, two guys cut and one girls. Their CD is available there and is $15. Great CD, by the way! "What can I do..." Improve! What a difference a week makes! I left the Oakland show last week with mixed emotions. Friends asked me after the concert, "Was it awesome?" I really couldn't say it was awesome. As I said last week, it felt more like a Sting solo performance. After tonight's performance, I can say they are getting closer to awesome. The set began as usual. And the rest of the set was the same as previous shows, minus Spirits and some changes to the order of the songs (Sorry, I didn't write them down). For example, The Bed's Too Big was much early in the set then last week. When the first few notes of Every Little Thing, a large portion of the crowd that was sitting rose to their feet in a triumphant cheer. I immediately thought to myself, "Don't get too excited! They won't play the song they way you expect them." Boy, was I wrong! Sting, Stewart, and Andy ripped through the track, with a near perfect tempo as the studio recording. Everyone rocked out and sang their hearts out. At the culmination, they received one of the largest ovations of the evening. They seem to be a bit more playful with improvisation at the end of some of the songs. At times Stewart didn't quite know when to end a song. Of course, he quickly recovered without anyone knowing he flubbed it (Those were good flubs). Overall, there was much more energy from the crowd, as well as appreciation of the crowd by the band. I left the Staples Center singing Next To You over and over again. I didn't sing any songs when I left at last week's show. Their performances will continue to improve, as evident by tonight's show. Some of the songs will continue to evolve, or devolve as is the case with Every Little Thing. By the time the tour returns to North America, Stewart's prediction of them raping and pillaging the world may come true. Good for them and good for the fans. We've waited a long time for this! Working, right? This is the only post I have in my mail box from the whole 5 days I've been in Phoenix! The show was great, so much more for me than Vancouver. I don't know if it's changed that much or if it's because I was able to SEE this time! I think I'm going to bag all floor seats from now on and go for lower sides. So much more enjoyable!!! I was bawling after it. I don't want this to end.
