I'm with you Jen!!!! I'm just bummed as Tuesday marks my halfway point. After that, the shows are dwindling for me (although Fiction Plane is picking up, and wayyyyyy less expensive! LA & OC performances

For The Record: My previous comment on LA vs. OC were made in fun, were misinterpreted (by some) and taken out of the context of friendly competition. I apologize to anyone who felt slighted or hurt by these comments. My intentions (I know, I know: the road to hell...!) were of lighthearted fun, and I realize now that is not how they may have appeared in print. I do not take sides on the behavior of people due to real estate: it is an individuals unique and daily experience, it is how **we** interact with the people around us that usually influences how they will behave with us. I find wonderful, friendly, generous people all around me no matter where I am. And an occasional idiot... lol! Those who know me know that I am a big Dodger fan, and there is a very friendly rivalry around here re: Dodger vs. Angels, Blue vs. Red, etc. It's a great way to meet guys, btw... Last night Dodger Stadium was fill with Angelians at the same price range that Staples Center presented, the same amount of celebrities, the same opportunity for the audience to be passive or active... last night we were active! The outdoor air, the moon, the visuals... and of course the band was perfection! What a night!! In related news, an insider that has been with the band for years told Maggie and I that the band was flat at Staples, not really into that night... maybe, just maybe, the audience was feeding off the performers and not the other way around? setlists

To date, The Police have played 15 shows. Does anyone else find it a bit odd or surprising that they have not introduced any new songs into the setlist yet? By now I was expecting to hear reports that "Demolition Man", "Tea in the Sahara", "Deathwish", "Bring On the Night", or "One World" have been added to the set. Especially at same-city venues. I'm glad to hear that they seem to be improving on the material they have. I enjoyed hearing "Murder" at the first 2 Vancouver shows and really felt this was a special song included for fans like us. Sorry to hear it's been getting nixed. I just can't imagine them following this static setlist for the entire tour. But in any event, I can't wait to see them again in St. Paul and NYC. Might they be saving some surprises for the European or second North American legs? Any thoughts? Me and 55,000 other people at Dodger Stadium

Dodger Stadium was the last show I had tickets for. I'm glad I got to see the Vancouver rehearsal and Denver due to the song cuts. I missed Spirits not for the weak rendition, but the terrific video/light show that goes with it. The Ghost in the Machine LED faces are my favorite iconography. They should have made electric pins with that instead of the Utah shaped "THE POLICE". I'm not a big Foo Fighters fan, but they put on a great stage show. Dave Grohl walked out through the floor all the way to the light stage in the back to play, then ran around the outside of the seating. I can't imagine Sting ever leaving the stage. Dodger was probably the best show out of the three. The song order worked a lot more, and it appears Andy has given up pretending to sing some of the more prominent backing. Sting did his "Andy this is Stewart" joke and Stewart cracked back saying, "Sting, I think 20,000 people here already know that joke." Hooray! The stadium setup has two additional giant side LED screens that have the same kind of effects as the standard LED ring above the stage. There were signs at the entries giving notification of a film being made. A helicopter flew over the crowd during Foo Fighters. Of course I hope that this is show is like Atlanta was for the Synchronicity DVD, but I'm guessing they'll put out a DVD with clips from the entire tour. It was sublime listening to "Walking on the Moon" below the actual moon. The effect of 55,000 people singing along is something unique. I wish I could hear it from the stage. It is most likely what really gets Sting off on the sing-alongs. Tonight was the closest thing to Shea since 1984. If they close in Wembly, I'll be there. Annaheim - June 21st

Like a fine bottle of wine, the Police get better with age. Unlike a fine bottle of wine, it is only taking three weeks for the Police to age. Great show in Annaheim tonight! Again, the same setlist with a few minor changes in placement of songs. The first set ended with Roxanne instead of Can't Stand Losing You. However, improvisation is continuing to creep its way into the set (BTW, all Stewart does is improvise. He never plays a song the same way). When Stewart talked about improvising during the show, I thought he meant long, extended jams. What the Police are doing now is just finding ways to play portions (usually the ending) of a song differently. The version of Roxanne tonight was something I had never heard before, with the Police or with Sting. They added a fun ending to Next To You as well. Now they seem to be comfortable with the songs they are performing which will allow themselves to be more comfortable in taking risks. It seems to be working (at least for me). Sting was the most talkative that he has been of any of the three shows that I have seen. I guess he read one of the reviews from last night's show. Also, he was more encouraging in having the crowd sing along with him. Crowd participation was always Sting's strength with the Police in the past. It is nice to see this aspect coming back as well. Everyone is having fun. Huge smiles on Andy, Sting, and Stewart's faces each time they take or leave the stage. They are playful with one another on stage, which kind of makes me think that this might be it: one tour and done. I am kind of okay with that. It would be great if there were more. But if it ends after the tour, the fans got what they wanted, the Police make a boat load of money, and, most importantly, their legacy remains intact. For sure a live album and DVD will be released, probably with a Best Buy exclusive. I saw the Protools setup last night under the stage, as well as a variety of microphones set up around the stage to catch the crowd's response. I guess only time will tell. Sorry there wasn't much on specific about each song. I was too busy annoying the crowd around with my singing. One more show on Saturday and that may be it until the fall. I really looking forward to seeing the Foo Fighters open up for the Police. Wouldn't it be great if Dave Grohl joined the Police onstage? What song would they sing? Thanks for reading, Matt G.

Oh, Lydia, Not dissing that it's not great work, it's just not my thing. I've watched the PBS special (which I believe is the same as the DVD?) and also had bought some tunes off of itunes that I thought were exclusives. Beautiful music, and I respect his desire to expand his horizons, but it's just not for me! I'm not into country music either, but I have gone along w/his two country songs just fine!!! Like I said, bought them, I just think I need to wait until maybe I'm more mature to appreciate it fully. I think Bruce had said he'd go see it if he were in town for the lute tour, but to travel for it, that'd be out of my realm of expenditures as well! Nice for him and fans of that genre that he took that tangent, but I don't want to lose him for much longer if he were to stick with it!!! Yes, I should crack open the CD and give it a listen more than the few that are on my ipod, but I can't make it through those w/out losing interest. Sorry, that's just me... Personally, I don't think U2 has recorded a great album since Achtung Baby, maybe Zooropa... I feel like their latest albums have been re-treads and just plain boring. For me The Police tour is all I ever wanted out of them. Who knows, maybe this experience will revitalize Sting's creative juices... but based on Sting's solo career over the last 10 years I'm kind of afraid of what a new Police album would sound like. As a solo artist, Sting can never live up to The Police and 23 years later how could the group as a whole possibly record a new album to stand with the existing 5? Of course, if that's what it takes to keep them touring...
