Hello, for those of you who downloaded the Anthrax cover version of No Time This Time, what did you think of it? Also, who do you think has done the best cover of a Police song? I enjoy John Mayer's version of Message because he successfully changed the song up without losing the meaning of the song. For example, there is a band called 22 Jacks (I believe the name is right) who did a cover of message and I think they killed it. They turned it into a metal version and for me that didn't work. I like it when a band is able to put their own spin on a cover that keeps the frame of the song yet allows the band to put its own mark on it. I'm going to update my website tonight, (thanks to Anne who sent me a live version of Twenty-five to Midnight) and I will try and have another demo ready as well. So, if you have not already downloaded the No Time cover or the Never Too late demo, get it. If by chance you are unable to download the songs today, I will be happy to email it to you. I was thinking to myself that this title does sound oddly weak and bland for Sting. I was really hoping for something a little darker. What are you wanting out of the next album? Personally, I would like to see something really stripped down, but still holding the complexities trademark of Sting's music. I guess I've been listening to the white stripes too much lately. Ross

Is there an easier place to get this than the German (right?) version of the box set? It had me hooked from the intro... and *quite* a guitar solo by Andy! Is it me, or does it seem to be a bit of a departure for him? I'm tellin' ya, this marathon is going to be the downfall of my checking account :) Til Again, -Dave

Sting on KISS radio this morning (Friday 5/16)

Sting called in this morning on KISS FM and spoke to Rick Dees for about 5 min. KISS is the station sponsoring the Wango Tango event in Pasadena Saturday. Anyway the convesation was brief. Rick mentioned that he listens to Sting more than anyother artist. Rick had apparantly interviewed Craig David earlier this week and was telling Sting how in awe Crag was to work with him. Rick asked if Sting works out everyday and he replied he does yoga about 2hrs a day. Then Rick asked if he ever eats fast food and he said no... but I eat fast. Finally Rick asked what he had planned for the rest of the day and Sting mentioned the taping at the Mayan for the new DVD. So like an idiot I go back to the Mayan. Updated my Sting/Police MP3 site

Hello all, sorry for the delay in updated but this one is a great one! First, I uploaded a cover of a No Time This Time done by (don't be scared of the name) Anthrax. They did a great job as it sounds a lot like the real version. I would like to hear what you think of this cover. The other song that I uploaded is a Sting demo done while he was still a Policeman. The track is called Late and I don't know much about it. If anyone know anything about this track, please email me as I would like to know. I checked the songs this time and they both work. However, I had to put Late into a WMA format because like the other demos, I had to clean the track up and then recompress it. I found that the best way to download these songs is to right click on the link and then click on "save as."
