I found it years back on Napster and as soon as I heard it, I trashed it. The only other song that has traumatized me in this was when AC/DC did an acoustic version of "You Shook Me All Night Long." I liked it. The one I hate is the Moulin Rouge version. Yuck. The worst Police cover that I have hear was Hootie and the Blowjo I mean blowfish doing So Lonely. I found it years back on Napster and as soon as I heard it, I trashed it. The only other song that has traumatized me in this was when AC/DC did an acoustic version of "You Shook Me All Night Long." Sean

Hi all, I am so thrilled to discover how many Police covers there have been that I didn't even know about. I plan to find out how to get myself some more webspace to put up the ones I got from other friends who know of my Police addiction. I have "So Lonely" by The Hippos, "Truth Hits Everybody" by Snapcase, "Can't Stand Losing You" by Feeder, "Walking On The Moon" by Jimmy Nail (yes... the big band version :-O) and surely enough versions of "Message In A Bottle" to cover a small desert island. "Every Breath You Take" is also a popular choice for covers; I must have at least two or three (Less Than Jake, Millencolin etc.) And Mar, I'm so glad you have the Fiction Plane stuff from yesterday; I listened online and only got to hear three songs! Sting Professes 'Sacred Love' Sting's new studio album, "Sacred Love," will be released Sept. 23 in North America by A&M/Interscope and a day earlier internationally. <A HREF="http://www.billboard.com/bb/daily/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1790448">As previously reported</A>, the set is the former Police frontman's first since 1999's "Brand New Day," which peaked at No. 9 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 3.5 million copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. The new set's first single, "Send Your Love," is due to hit U.S. radio outlets in late June, in tandem with a video. A commercial single for "Send Your Love" will follow in September. The full tracklist was not available at deadline, but a spokesperson says Mary J. Blige guests on the cut "Whenever I Say Your Name," while Anoushka Shankar appears on "Book of My Life." "Sacred Love" was produced by Sting and Kipper, who handled keyboards and drum programming on "Brand New Day." Following the album's completion in Paris last month, Sting and his touring band were filmed playing the tracks on-stage at Los Angeles' Mayan Theatre. That footage will make up a documentary to be broadcast in early October on A&E and released as an expanded DVD on Oct. 7. Sting is expected to tour heavily behind "Sacred Love," beginning in early 2004. He will make a number of TV appearances around the album's release date, including a <A HREF="http://www.billboard.com/bb/daily/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1868045">previously announced</A> Oct. 2 performance on NBC's "Today" show. The artist has been in the spotlight of late thanks to his appearance on the Craig David single "Rise & Fall," which is based around the melody of Sting's "Shape of My Heart."
