The new DVD to be released on 7 October will contain: - material filmed at the Sting's home in Malibu, California - material filmed at the Mayan Theater, Los Angeles - a mixture of new material and a few oldies - surprise guests (Blige) - commentary - behind-the-scenes - documentary footage The same info was also presented on MTV earlier today... www.stingus.net

Me too, Anne! I feel like such a hypocrite when I was country bashing before I moved to Texas. Of course, if it's Sting doing it, it's OK! By reading all the comments about the new Sting's Album, I have to say that I feel deeply some thrilling things around it... The title track 'Sacred Love' really smells like a glossy commercial production and seems far away from the wonderful 'Soul Cages' spirit ! Do we have to wait for a "Brand New Day" - Part 2 - this time with a mix of a Celine Dion and Maria Carey's inspiration ? I don't hope so but this is frightening anyway ! Some would say, that it was the same pre-feelings with the "previous" B.N.D titles attempts but this time it seems to be aimed in a commercial (obvious ?) way to catch everyone's ears ! Where is the dark Sting trying some major improvements ? Not here as far as we can breath (same musicians, same way of promotion, ....)... and I don't speak about the same 'Fragile' set-list (in concert) we all know for ages ! I'm afraid mates ! I hope I'm in the wrong direction but since BND (sorry for me only 4 tracks were correct for a man like Sting; D.Rose, A.T.Years, Ghost Story - perfect ! - and T.W.See) I'm disapointed a lot... In any case, Sting ALWAYS wrote his best tracks when he was in a sad mood ! This won't be the case this year ! The Police is no more on the fans lips as he 'stopped' (do I heard 'killed' ??) the history in March ! He should be so happy now ! Nice family, huge money accounts, Castle mania... Mister Styler (gulp !) is now like an Lord in the music Industry... Does this new Album will show him as the new Elton John ?? I know some think different but to my mind Sting's is not running the good risky way... He just put a step in the star-system area ! Hope he'll look back ! Bring me back Mont de Marsan '77 (just kidding !) SEB :-o

Wow, do you know my father? :D He has about driven everyone crazy with that notion. Though, he's right about it being too easy to just use get or got. It's not as easy as you would think. Thanks for pointing that out Maggie. It's one of my biggest pet peeves as well. I know there are a lot of members on the list whose first language is not English, so they are excused. It irks me though that most Americans (and I assume other Anglican natives) have very poor writing skills, especially considering that most of them only speak one language. This is totally off topic, so stop reading if you don't feel like getting a grammar lesson: It's = It is Its = belonging to "it" There = location, as in "There it is," or pronoun "There must be another way." They're = They are Their = belonging to "they" You're = You are Your = belonging to "you" Whose = belonging to "who" (actually, to WHOM) Who's = Who is 's after a word = possessive ("Fred's email is pompous"). If the word ends in "s," you would typically add an ' after the word, but no "s" (The bus' wheels are flat). 's can also be a conjunction of "is" (Fred's a pompous grammar Nazi) or "has" (Fred's got to stop). Adding an "s" at the end of a word makes it plural (These grammar emails are annoying). Though "were" is the past tense plural of "to be," it is also used in the conditional sense: "If only half of this were true..." Not "was!" It's "I should have," not "I should of" It's "through," not "thru." It's "night," not "nite." There are others, but I've ranted enough... Happy grammar everyone. Fred P.S. I uploaded Whispering Voices (single edit) to my website today. I tried to clean it up a bit. Does anyone have any info about this song? Also, I have been receiving some great tracks from Anne to share with the list, (if you like country style music then you should enjoy the next update [I promise no Johnny Cash I Hung My Head). Sting, unlike many of his peers, is (was) not afraid to mix-up his musical style and it is hard for all of us to keep up with all of the Sting/Police related music that is out there, (most of the counrty-style songs that Anne has sent to me, I never knew existed). So, if you have a song that you would like to share with the list then email me privately and I will be happy to post the song as well as give credit as to whom it came from. Thats all for now, Sean
