the picture quality of the Brazilian DVD "Acustico" is actually quite good. I've had some more DVDs from that company which were obviously copied from some LaserDiscs. The best of them is the MTV gig. Don't hesitate to buy it. Dietmar > However, it looks like VHS or dodgy Betacam transfers. The "Red Light Green Light" jam was very much an improvised moment during the MTV Unplugged taping- it's started up by Vinnie then David hits the piano chords. I can't find the musical ideas for it anywhere on the rehearsal disc. Do you have a track number/time listing? It is great that there are so many great songs to choose. I'm with you, my selection of favourites changes often. However...my advice is to take out the ones that are well known, and choose the most obscure out of your list. Then, I guess it's "eeny meeny" from there. :D "So Lonely" is probably my favourite Police song, yeah, I think so.... ;D Good luck. Isn't it great that we like an artist that has that many great songs that we consider favorites to choose from? I hope in 15 more years it gets even more difficult for us to choose. I can't tackle this challenge because my top 5 may rotate hourly depending on my mood, what I had for breakfast, if the sun's out, etc....... Good luck! Thanks, Maggie, for the interesting Billboard information. I think Sting has learned a great deal from his last album/tour and will be putting that lesson into practice for "Sacred Love". Brand New Day was a slow mover after its release. Then it was brought to the rest of the public by Compaq, Jaguar, and Best Buy. Barely a month after its release, Sacred Love has already gained corporate sponsorship from AOL, American Express Blue and Victoria's Secret. The latter is obviously going to be centered around "Whenever I Say Your Name". The tv special is timed around the single's release and I'd wager that the song will feature prominently on the "exclusive" Sting mix CD that's to be sold at the retail stores. A collector's item for us, an Ebay goldmine for some, and some carefully executed targeting of a potential Sting demographic. The fan part of me is thrilled to see Sting everywhere. The cynic part of me rolls my eyes at the timing and cost of the expensive fan club, corporate promotion of the Chicago concert (almost obtrusive on the Westwood One broadcast), the AOL commercial, the DVD and corresponding tv special, the Victoria's Secret thing, the book release, and the "market crossover potential" that'll be pushed for with the new single. "While sales of Dido's "Life for Rent" (Arista) fell 43% to 110,000 copies in its sophomore week on the chart, the album is able to maintain its No. 4 post. In two weeks, the album has sold about 300,000 copies. Also standing its ground is Dave Matthews' "Some Devil" (RCA), which is No. 5 for the second week in a row. Sales of his set slipped 34% to 103,000 copies. Sting's "Sacred Love" suffered a 51% sales drop to 94,000 copies in its second week and the A&M set drifts 3-6. Its two-week total is 289,000 copies." Interesting to compare SL to Dido and Dave Matthews which came out at/near the same time and have held their ground. Maggie
