Hi it's time for another movie question (thanks to all who cared to answer my "Marco Polo"-question...). I just saw "Bringing out the dead" with Nicolas Cage. He plays a paramadic in New York. When he and his partners are called to an emergency they always say "10-4" to show that they understood what was said. Now where does that "10-4" come from? Thanks Dietmar

Doors on tv last nite

It was good to see Stewart playing on the kit last night. What do people think? I was kind of left with the feeling that this was a sad impersonation of the doors. I mean thats not really the doors. I dunno- overall it felt like they were pretending. Stewart looked good though and the music was fine. Lead singers got a tough job. Hi all! I used to subscribe to this mailing list 8 years ago and just recently re-subscribed. I'm so happy a Police reunion is finally happening after all these years, even if it is just 3 songs. I was interested to read the thread on what a "true" fan is made of. I consider myself a big fan of the Police even though I was too young to see them perform live. I think if you still listen to and love their music, then you're a fan. Having money and connections to travel the world to see Sting is nice but it doesn't make you a bigger/better fan. I'm jealous as hell of people who can afford to buy autographed guitars, memorabilia, etc. but there's nothing wrong with doing that- that's all part of being a fan. You want to be as close as you can to the artist as much as possible. You're on this list and the band broke up over 15 years ago!!! You're all "fanatics" and so am I. I am going to make the time and effort to get my ass to NYC on March 10th. I just want to be there and I'd love to party with anyone on the list who is also going. I'd love to see the tribute bands get gigs in NYC. I don't have a ticket to the HOF nor do I know anyone in the music biz. I'm totally inspired by all the stories of luck, hard work and timing that have been written by all of you over the last few months. This may be the only time I'll ever get to see them perform live. If I do go and don't see the show-- well, I won't regret trying and I'm definitely going to try my damndest! New York is a great city anyway. If there are any others on this list who are definitely going to be in NYC in March and would like to meet up I'd love to hear from you. I've met a lot of other Police strangers/fans over the years and believe me they're rare. It would be great to spend an evening in New York sharing stories. Thanks for reading this far. Chris

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY MY MESSAGE!!!hI My dear annie and my dear people. I want to let u know I have 15 years old and I am verry passionate of drumms.I am a big fan of Sing and Police too nooo pardon of The Police(Sting Included too). But i have a really hot question: why the f*** should anyone say "OH, gosh, I reallyf***ing like Sting and Police but oh Sting he especially cos he's hot and his music is hot too!... Yes I like Sting I know HE had a band with other 2 f*** jurks but heee's the GOD and when I say Police I certaintly refeer to Sting because HE was the Police!" Well dear if u'd like to know my oppinion though I have to say I appriciate Sting and I also like him v much as a person i do really think that the biggest mistake of his life was to break up from Police. I mean... man what the f*** Police was Police!:Stewart, Sting and Andy not just Sting for God Sake! And he felt himself a king hehe and decided to leave Police cos he felt he was the king but it prooved to be f***ing wrong. Without Stewart and Andy he was Sting was just a pale copy of Police all his solo carrier except 1 album(Soul Cages) and was weaker and weaker... Look, for exampe though I am a fanatic fan of Stewart and of drums genneraly I never say.."Oh I like Stewart Copeland and Police" because i know it would be wrong. I always say: I love Police!" and I want u to know that it's rude and mean in the same time to talk Police as Sting!!!!! That's my bref! If anyone agress with me plz reply my message!
