michelle, i think you were the one asking about the t shirt sting wore at the superbowl? from the sting.com newsletter: Fashion Note: We've had so many requests about Sting's Superbowl outfit, and in particular that t-shirt, that we've checked things out... the t-shirt was designed by stylist Justin Junta and they can be purchased! at Milo Studios in New York. The Rock Masters DVD has been delayed with no new release day given at this time. As soon as I find out ANYTHING I will let everyone know. Also, I will have a review of the new "Every Breath You Take: The Classics" no later than March 5th (the day after it comes out). Mostly it will be a comparison with both the previous CD and DTS CD release. Angel C. Arsenio Hall and Sting

VH1 ran a piece tonite called "Inside: The Arsenio Hall Show" (interesting to see the number of artists that became huge who got their big break on his show....but I digress). At one point in the interview Arsenio said "You don't have to be black to get my attention, you just have to be good, and it don't get no gooder than Sting!". At which point they cut to a clip of our man performing Purple Haze. Arsenio went on to say "I am a HUGE Sting fan....if Sting had wanted to do a puppet show I'd have let him" and went on to discuss Sting's admiration of Jimmy Hendrix. This morning our local rock station played "Break on Through", saying this was the song The Doors played on Craig Kilborn last night, so it sounds like they went on anyway. He named all the band members, including Stewart, so I just assumed he played with them last night. Also, everyone on air gave their opinions -- a mixture of liking and not, sounds too much like them and not enough, the keyboards were bad, but nothing about Stew -- which I assume is good, because if he was bad they'd certainly say so. It sounded like his playing to me, but I'm no drum expert!!!! Thought I'd post this, but I didn't see the show. Maybe someone did?? Michelle Manoni Troy, Michigan

Doors tour

Stewart is not playing with the Doors this morning in LA, so I have to thank Ian for the head's up and for saving me a long drive and a wasted vacation day. I am listening to the performance on the Web, though. One of the original Doors guys said that they will tour the US in April and May. He specifically mentioned NYC, Texas, Boston, Philly and Chicago. He said Europe will be June and July, Japan will be in August, and then they will return to the US for more shows. I don't know whether or not Stewart will be part of that tour. I'll ask Ian if he knows. Maggie

I found this tribute album while in Philly this past weekend. Pretty enjoyable. Nice to see an abstract cover such as "Fallout" On another note, Rock Masters of the Police was to be released here in Canada (the 28th), and it still hasn't. Gasp!!!

Police Remasteres Delayed (and other off-topic ramblings)

The new remasters have been delayed until March 4th. Also for Pink Floyd fans on the group who have not heard yet, "Dark Side Of The Moon" is being reissued on the same day as a hybrid SACD/CD disc. The SACD portion will be both stereo and a brand new surround sound version of the album. :) And of course Peter Gabriel's "Up" is due at the end of March as a hybrid SACD/CD disc as well. Plus the new Elvis greatest hits on DVD-A with the new 5.1 mix as well..... :) Good time to be a SACD/DVD-A fan indeed..... Angel C. The Copelands

Miles and Ian were on the syndicated radio show Rockline last night (I'm sorry, I forgot to post that yesterday)) I didn't get to hear the interview, but I have someone sending me a copy. Stewart was supposed to be with them, but he got sick and didn't do the show. Also, a scheduled Doors performance last night on the Greg Killborn show was cancelled due to Stewart's illness. And, the Doors are supposed to play at the HOB in Los Angeles tomorrow morning for a small radio crowd. I have tickets for that, but....... on his website, Ian said that Stewart won't be playing tomorrow because he's still sick. I'm trying to confirm that with the radio station before I take a day off work and drive 4 hours to LA only to be confronted with someone other than Stewart on drums. Ug. First his arm and now an illness. Maggie
