from what I know they all get the bare naked tracks or midi's meaning that they can actually play with every single instrument and voice ... if you know what Mr P Daddy did with this, then he should be ashamed, actually quite hard to understand how he raped Roxanne, who the hell approved such rubbish ... the same with the let your soul be your pilot remixes ... as u already know i didn't like the MF album but those remixes were completely insane ... and actually were dropped on several cd-singles, as if to persuade fans to just buy all the singles to find out ... they bought crap, 25 minutes long. anyway, more real b-sides, meaning real songs, are more than welcome like the catchy If You There proved to be. Glad to hear you say that Karel because I, who you know adores all things Sting, have also never heard a remix of his music that I liked....I don't even download them if presented with the opportunity. Why is it that the remixes suck so much? Is it that Sting's music just doesn't lend itself to remix, is it that the person(s) doing the remix themselves do it poorly......given that I know very little about the process, I'm really curious about this. Concerning Fragile, the live versions I never liked, but the studio version and the Fgagilidad, etc versions are just great. They have than intense emotion which, unfortunately, so far Sting never succeeded in bringing live imho. a pity that the limited remix of Fragile from the All This Time album utterly sucks, but that brings us back to a discussion we had on this list some years ago about the quality of the remixes of Sting's songs. oops, I hit reply to the wrong e-mail before! My high point was NLTS and how he was "Sting" and not the former front man of the Police. He totally stood on his own two feet. BUT another great highlight personally for me was seing Sting and Bruce singing "The River" together on the Amnesty Tour at JFK stadium in Philly... I have a few low points, #1 being the Jaguar commercial. He looked like a total sell-out and the other is the video for "I'm so happy I cant stop crying". Line-dancing aliens???? I still cannot believe to this day that he made that video, it was like a bad tribute to Flock of Seagulls and Hank WIlliams. It took a beautiful song seem bizarre. Just my 2 cents.... Heather

Was that on the DVD? I have yet to watch it since I thought is was that same as the A&E special. I can't say that I disagree with Dom. I've FORCED myself to keep an open mind about country music (just because of these two songs) but it doesn't transcend beyond those two. Glad to know he feels that way and maybe his reluctance will keep Sting away from experimenting too much more. Yee haw. Hi all! I really loved reading those posts with all your diverse opinions. To me, the best album (by far) is TSC. Although I don't listen to it too much, because I find it quite depressing. For me, as Jer and Fred know very well, the Soul Cages is the best album and tour Sting did so far. It is the album that I always listen to in the winter times or just late in the evening with a nice martini on the rocks and candlelight ... i am just waiting for the DTS version to complete my pleasure. Second comes the DOTBT tour and album, simple mice arrangements, with a preference for the analogue CD-version opposed to the remastered one which sounds far too cold, actually, the LP sounds best ... lower i will not go, but at the far far far far end is MF ... it just never comes out of its jewel case, never ... utterly boring apart from the opener Hounds of Winter which should have been on the Soul Cages ,- )) Tora Tora, Karelaki apo tin Athina _

I take it you mean POST Police career? I was going to say if it were all time, I'd say the Synchronicity tour was the high point (maybe not for him mentally) I'd think HIS personal high point was singing at the Olympics, but I have yet to say if it was mine since I fell asleep before he came on and I still need to see it... I'd have to say the low point was the Superbowl "blast" a couple Fridays ago. I rather liked him alone for the first song, but good grief, I can't stand when they put those screaming/rapping/no talent bozo's with him and have him sing one of his songs! Of course, that's just MY opinion!
