Universal Music Group has a program where musicians can buy some videos about how to make it in the music business. If you buy the deluxe package, you can send 3 song demos to Universal contest and have them heard by a panel of judges. One of the judges......Stewart Copeland. The deluxe package is about $100. It's a bit of a scam, they want you to buy something in order to submit demos, but if you ever wanted Stew to hear your work...here's your chance. Maggie

Hi all, I thought I'd unlurk to share this story... http://www.meridianmagazine.com/music/020206here.html Scroll down and you will find the section on Sting. An excerpt: "At the conclusion of a recent recording session, Sting stepped before the [Mormon Tabernacle Choir] and said: 'I am deeply moved. To hear human beings sing this way--with such clarity and unity-- makes me proud to be a human being...one of God's children.'" The local news (ksl.com) showed Sting saying this - he said it with tears in his eyes. I must add that as wonderful as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sounded at the Opening Ceremonies, they are infinitely more powerful when you hear them live. It is no surprise that Sting was so moved.
