Thanks Rik, I just got my M15 and the jib has a reef point in it. There are two sets of fairleads and two blocks forward which lead back to two clam cleats on the port cockpit coaming. These appear to be for both a jib downhaul and the jib reef tack. The downhaul makes good sense to me, I've installed them on other boats but as I said, I just don't get the idea of the reefing line. Perhaps that second fairlead is for something else but if it is I'm missing the point. Hi Irv, Cannot speak for the East coast, but I have decided to sell a unique M-17 in the West. The famous Coyote, Jerry's first flush-deck is for sale. I have not posted on MSOG yet, but thought I would mention this to the participating group first. Coyote comes with 3 mains, 150 (Mylar, 2001, matching a full-batton 2002 Mylar Main), 130, 110, storm and a 3/4 oz chute. Last month I put the boat on a hoist and replaced the centerboard pendant. There is a large inventory on Coyote and the boat is clearly among the fastest of the 17 hulls of any deck type. If interested, contact me offline and I will send you the inventory and any other information you might want. Price is up to discussion, but is not a giveaway. Norm, You must be misreading this part " Then I'll use the jib downhaul, and maybe put the second reef in." He means: I'll use the jib downhaul (to get the jib down completely), and maybe put the second reef in (the main). You can have reef points installed in a jib, but it isn't very common. Yes, you would have to redo the sheets and tie in the reef points. I have an older Honda regular shaft on my m15, no clutch, and think its great, but I would prefer the newer model with clutch. One problem I had was that the needle valve for the fuel line is exposed to sea water and rusted and froze. I tried to force it free (big mistake) and it broke off. Its about $150 to fix it, so I use it as is. Fortunately, it is permanently open, which resolves the issue of deciding to run it dry when shutting down. Hope this helps. Hi Norm, Then HONDA 2 HP is what I have on my M15. It is the older short shaft model without the clutch, that the new model has. It's a great motor. The best I've owned. My old 2 HP Suzuki was great too, but it was a two cycle engine. The Honda is a four cycle engine - no mixing gas and oil; no fouled spark plugs.......... I think everyone that has the 2 HP HONDA is happy with their engines. Connie M15 #400
