How Best to Remove Rust

Friends, We have an older Trailrite trailer that is starting to show more rust than paint. Does anyone have any tips, tricks, or product recommendations for stopping and preventing rust on a boat trailer? On a previous trailer with a similar problem we sand blasted, primered, and re-painted. But I was disappointed when rust began to reappear again after only 2 - 3 years. Hi Randy, When I got my M15 in Florida, the Trailrite trailer showed rust spots. Back home in Connecticut, I cleaned up the rust spots using sandpaper, and then used Rustoleum primer over the bare spots. This was followed by a coat of Rustoleum paint on the whole trailer. Several years later, the trailer still looks very good. However, my launching and retrievals have been in fresh water, not salt water, so that could make a difference. Connie

M7-11 Specifications

Hi All, I need the specifications on the M7-11. Also need specs on the M-12 Anyone who may have any of the info: weight, beam, draft, sail area, etc. Sure could use those specs to add to Fran's photo album on the Photo Site. Same goes for the other M-Boats that may be out of production. I need more material to work with... need more pics of the M-15's & M-17's both old & new. Same goes for the M-23 (Come on Mark & Roberta... get the camera out - need interior shots). Good Old Boat Magazine has posted the Photo Site on their web page and will be providing the web address in the near future in their publication... Come on, get your boat on the site. m15 rudder

A couple years ago I replaced the bungee cord in Really's rudder assembly with a larger one. Lifting and lowering the rudder is now a snap. The only problem was fitting the larger cord through the metal holes. Took a while but is well worth it. Rich Cottrell M15 "Really"
