I also kept my old Millenium video card which runs 1600x1200 VESA mode.
I can't play all these new 3D video games, but I can still run Fractint very
fast!
I also didn't post the benchmark here on the list because it measures the
time to compute the 309th line of a very slow and deep arbitary-precision
mandelbrot that took several hundred hours to get to that line. I sent the
benchmark image to Pedro who will run it on an AMD Athlon and he will post
the results tomorrow. (Running it in batch mode with savetime=-1 will time
the line regardless of how long it takes, as savetime only saves at end of
the row - a very handy feature for setting the showdot at the beginning of a
line and on the next batch run - timing a line.)
