When is this?? A new Zorn-fest, perhaps?!

Hm, don't know. Is Mick Harris not drumming at all any more? I think Ted
Epstein sat in for him before, but I also haven't heard about him in ages.

Who is this guy? The Laswell discography mentions an upcomming album with
those two and Dave Lombardo.

Speakin of homesteads and Zorn, he once called Napalm Death good
lease-breaking music -- like if your landlord won't let you out of a lease,
just crank that motherfucker continuously. The neighbors will do the rest.
When you finally get all your junk into the house, sit down on the floor of
your living room to a nice dinner, some good red wine...and put on 'Leng
Tche' full tilt. It'll be cathartic. It might also scare any ghosts away.

Hi,
The music by Marc Ribot for "Inasmuch as Life is borrowed..." was released
on CD in 2001 on the own recordlabel of Wim Vandekeybus and his dance group
Ultima Vez.
I bought the CD some time ago at one of the Ultima Vez shows (Supposedly the
only place where they are sold...)
Maybe the CD is also for sale through their website: www.ultimavez.com
Details:
Title: music from the performance "Inasmuch as Life is borrowed..."
Label: Ultima Vez (UV 01) 2001
Tracks:
1. Terramotati
2. After
3. Piotr's Blues
4. Nothing
5. Max
6. Air (Requiem)
7. Blood
8. The End
Marc Ribot: electric and acoustic guitars
Anthony Coleman: piano, keyboards, samplers, pump organ
Ned Rothenberg: clarinet, bass clarinet
Sim Cain: drums, percussion
Sebastian Steinberg: electric and double bass
Gavin Webber: voice and text improvisation (track 4)
produced by JD Foster
recorded live: Théatre de la Ville, Paris, November 24 & 25, 2000
And it is really good, of course...
Best,
Maarten Hepp

I caught some of these compositions at the Tonic w/Coleman, Rothenberg,
Steinberg and Cain. Pretty fuckin phenomenal. A lot of it was sorta
Shrek-like. At times I was very much reminded of certain noisy train-rides
I've had. Can't wait to hear the recording.
