Continuing ISDN Problem

Good morning all, I have a USRobotics Total Control NETServer/16 I-modem which I hope to use for dial-in access for remote users. I have had 4 ISDN lines installed. These are connected to a network terminator and then the NETServer. The switch protocol used here in Northern Cyprus is Euro-ISDN (I have confirmed this many times with the not-so-helpful telcom staff) The problem I have now is as so: 1. When I set the switch protocol to Euro-ISDN (*w=2 or ETSI-NET3) the Physical Interface goes Active but the Data Link Layer is inactive. After about a minute both the Physical Interface and Data Link Layer goes inactive. 2. While playing around with the settings, I set the switch protocol to AT&T (*w=0). When I do this both the Physical Interface and Data Link Layer go Active. However I cannot dial out (atdt command gives NO RESPONSE or NO CARRIER) and no one can dial in. A technician told me that Euro-ISDN is indeed the protocol to be used and that the telecom have obviously not setup the line correctly (something about the Data Link being activated). The telecom people however keep telling me that they have done everything on their end and that there is a problem with the settings on my modem or that my modems are not working. All 16 of them! Every person I talk to seems to say something different. I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on to this problem. Has anyone had a similar experience before? Many thanks once again. I had the same problem over here. Verizon screwed up the FOC order and I had to change all my settings. I have been trying to get MRTG to work for almost a week now and can't seem to get it right. Hi, i had recently bought the E1/Pri line from telecom, but after its hooked up to the total control ras Hiperdsp modem i get Carrier as green but Alarm is still glowing red. can someone help me what this indication mean and any configuration changes are needed in the ras box. Regards Anil

Just a couple observations - MoH works fine in 4.5, been using it for a long time now with no problems, just not on 3.5.12. Need help! ISDN connections?

Once again I am posting this question. I've got "Number of ISDN Calls: 82" (and 41 on another ARC) in 1 day, but its impossible. Whats problem? From where do I get this calls? I'm sure that nobody here has ISDN. Can this cause any problems?

Yes you were right. Although Turkey and North Cyprus both use EURO-ISDN standards, the telcos provide U interfaces not S/T. Therefore we had to buy NTs for our (International version) NETServer to work. Now when I connect the lines, the LEDs flash green and then off indicating that the modem is ready to receive calls. The Data Link Layer and Physical Interface are both ACTIVE. The problem now is that I cannot get the unit to answer incoming calls. The S0 register is set to 1 and the dip switch is correctly set. Is this a configuration problem on the NETServer or could it be an ISDN problem? ie. protocol / answering mode / TEI etc problem? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
