Hello all, I am working on a custom setup and I am trying to figure out what the differences between the Login Services telnet - I see uses a telnet daemon to make the connection ping - pings the server that you want! rlogin - remote login but i do not know anything more than that. cleartcp - No clue what this is. Currently in my setup the one that seems to work the best is rlogin but I know nothing about this so I do no know if it is really working. What does cleartcp and rlogin actually do? Error message question

Anyone ever seen these error messages? HiperDSP not saving settings

Hello all, I have a chassis that the HiperDSPs won't save the settings. If I make a change to the trunks or modems and save the config to NVRAM and reboot the card by doing a hardware reset or pulling the card all the settings go back to the default settings. Also how do I set the nmc chassis awarness to on ? Sorry for the simple questions. Wayne Hahn

Chassis Awareness is on by default. To turn it on, do a "enable nmc chassis_awareness" command on the ARC. I've had this problem before with cards not keeping their settings. My guess is that the NMC has saved the DSP (or ARC) config and when you change something, the NMC is changing it back. In TCM, click on the NMC card to select it, go to Actions/Commands, and execute these commands on the NMC: Restore Chassis From Default Restore NMC From Default Save Chassis to NVRAM software reset Not sure if all of those are necessary or not, but it always works for me. Doing those commands will NOT lose the IP address or any of the config done on the NMC from the console port. How to kill duplicate connections/logins

Does anybody know how to avoid duplicate connections or logins? We are using Radius service from NT Option Pack and Total Control 1000. Any suggestions?
