February 07, 2007, 2:20 PM ET Ray Waddell, Nashville After weeks of speculation, a press conference and "special announcement" featuring rehearsals by the Police is set for Monday (Feb. 12) at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, Calif., the day after the band will reunite for a show-opening performance at the Grammys. The 11 a.m. PT press conference and special announcement via live satellite broadcast is widely expected to be regarding a 30th anniversary world tour by the seminal rock trio. The press conference announcement was made by promoter Live Nation. Given that, it is a likely assumption that Arthur Fogel, chairman of global touring for the company, will oversee the tour under LN's TNA International banner. Folks, Stingus has announced the Tour will upon up (ahem) here in Vancouver. But....I saw Sting here in Austin at the Erwin center in like 2000 or 2001 for his Brand New Day tour with Johnny Lang. After that I've seen in twice in San Antonio in 2004. Once at the Majestic Theater (with Chris Botti) which was totally amazing and the next was at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheater with Annie Lennox....also amazing. Hi everybody: This is Joe from Argentina. I've been on this list for more than 10 years but this is my first email in a loooong time. I'm enjoying the activity on the list these last days but more the reason of that activity. I have never seen Police live and, even though I have no idea if I will be able to go to the States to catch a concert, the possibility that this could happen is going t drive me crazy. I hope that, if I manage to go to the states I can get the help of some people on the list to get a ticket. Now, considering Toni's and Angeline's messages regarding the Grammies, I was told of a free program calles TVUPlayer last sunday during the super bowl. As I had no access to a TV, I tried it and CBS was one of the available channels . I press on it and some seconds later I was watching the game online and live!! I have to say that I do not know if this is legal (actually I am pretty sure it's not) but if you can live with that give it a try. The problem fot me is that I will be on a plane during the grammies next sunday. Okay guys, finally the hype has got to me. Last night I dreamed I was following Stewart around in Belfast's Odyssey Arena (presumably because that's where I last saw Sting play) trying to get his autograph. And it kept turning out to be someone who just looked really, really similar. Dear God; what's the next week going to be like?! I already found out that the main TV channels in the UK aren't broadcasting the Grammys; we have to wait until Tuesday night when two hours (edited highlights...? I will be mad if they edit or talk over The Police) of it will be broadcast on ITV2. I'm hoping one of the music channels will be showing it all at the proper time; will have to go through their websites. Meanwhile, does anyone know if it'll be streamed online, live? I don't even know if I'll be near a TV or an internet connection Sunday night/Monday morning! Arrrggghhh!!! Angeline

Yeah, they killed the nice Southpark Meadows area....it's sad really. But....I saw Sting here in Austin at the Erwin center in like 2000 or 2001 for his Brand New Day tour with Johnny Lang.
