Someone asked about dates for this. The fine print on their website lists Feb 20, Feb 27, and March 6. I think it starts at 6am. It seems folks are getting better tickets through this presale vs. the Police membership. Did this happen to anyone else: Yesterday, I decided to use my membership "rights" to get 4 tickets for the Vancouver show. I followed the instructions on the website, got my code, linked to ticketmaster, and put in the code. Next, I went to the 'quantitiy' drop down menu and the choices were 1 or 2 tickets! I COULD NOT CHOOSE 4! I chose 2, got 2 (in the upper deck of course), paid, and returned to the presale window. Now the quantity choices included 1, 2, 3 and 4 tickets. I tried for 2 more but obviously it didn't work. I had burned my code. I wrote both ticketmaster and thepolicetour staff, haven't heard anything yet. It's bittersweet: I have 2 tickets to the opening show of the biggest music event of my life. But I planned on going with my best friend, brother, and girlfriend. Don't forget that among the recent great news, Sting is touring again with Edin Karamazov. He will start the tour in France -Paris Salle Pleyel on sunday. I'l be there, and some of LiSting members will attend the show too. Like most of you, I am still in shock and awe that this is all happening. A fan since 1980, and someone that has pined for this to happen...it HAS happened...and I still have a hard time believing it. I got tix for the 8/1 show at MSG. Not great, but I wanted to get my foot in the door for this show. (I cannot go to the 8/3 show my 20th high school reunion is that weekend. Decisions decisions decisions!!!) (And ironic, too!) Anyway, I am not that distraught over the tix I have. For one thing, I will beg/borrow/steal to upgrade them. Also, I plan on going to other shows anyway. Regarding those "others", one city that I am interested to see if they play is BUFFALO. Their last ever USA show on SYNCHRONICITY tour was in Buffalo. The show was an add on - originally, they had no intention of playing there, but wound up doing a Buffalo gig due to some exploits of a local DJ. (Stop me if you have heard this one before!) I went to high school in the Buffalo area, and did NOT attend this show. One kid in my homeroom went, and I have never been so envious of anyone in my life...then up until now. Agree with you on all points, Rich. Particularly happy to be so wrong about it ever happening. One other observation I'd add to that is that I just wonder if Sting's having any second thoughts. Not that he can at this point ... the machine is in motion, but I've never seen him bite his nails the way he was! Yes, they have a lot of work to do in a few short months, but there's proof positive in how tight Roxanne was. I take it that was their main focus in Vancouver.
