Hi Everyone, Thank you to all of you who sent your good thoughts my way. Mom has had her surgery and has come through with no complications. I am staying overnights with her in the hospital since she can't really do anything for herself yet (hip replacement), but I am trying to check my e-mail every few days to keep up with the list, and the response from you -- the greatest list in the world! -- has been deeply touching and appreciated. Hannah Montana reselling better than Police

Top two headlines for today: Hannah Montana Outselling the Police Hell Freezes Over A friend send me this article. Not sure where it same from. The tour promoter capped prices at $65 and put a four-ticket maximum on each transaction. However, the average ticket for the Hannah Montana tour was being resold for $214. That beats the average resale price for Timberlake ($182), Beyonce ($193), or The Police ($209). The Police tour has been StubHub's best-selling tour in the company's history, but Hannah Montana has sold 35 percent more tickets in the same amount of time, and is outselling The Police by 25 percent based on dollar volume. Understandably that's riling a lot of fans. "It's always been a problem and it getting worse and worse," said Rathwell, who says her company is doing all it can to reduce scalping. But with every show selling out immediately, there are few options for parents. "Hannah Montana has essentially exposed a lot of frustration the average, uninformed ticket buyer has," said Sean Pate, a spokesman for the San Francisco-based StubHub. "There is so much demand that ticket sellers are pricing on the high side. It's almost unreasonable." As technology changes and more venues start selling tickets online, scalpers are no longer those shady looking guys holding up tickets outside the arena. Most states have no restrictions on reselling tickets, even for a big profit. Ray Waddell, Billboard's touring writer, says scalpers use automated computer programs that buy tickets quickly or tie up ticket phone lines with repeated calls. Albanel praised the 80s group for the "new sound" that they generated and expressed "France's full admiration and recognition" for the band's music. I'll Be Watching You

Hi, I've received the new cheaper edition of Andy's book from Amazon last week. By now I havn't had a chance to see the previously available ltd.edition but from my point of view this new one should do anyway (sorry Dietmar!). It's a thick hard cover book (not a paperback) and it's printed really well. I don't know about the size of the expensive copy but this one measures approx.26 x 32 x 4 cm. With only 30 EUR it's definitely a must buy. joerg.
