I have been checking and does anyone else find it interesting/strange that these upcoming shows are not selling out. I mean I can still go on ticketmaster and buy 4 seats in a row to tonights show at MSG...let alone Fridays and Saturdays down in Atlantic City where face value seats are all still available. I am just wondering what this says in terms of them playing more dates, more tours etc. It may be the first swing through they sell out easy for the nostalgia value but second time through its a little tougher sale as nostalgia people have mostly gone. Not sure though. It also may be they are just pricing these tickets too high and they are not selling out. I mean Atlantic city theater is not that big even. I wonder if they will sell out MSG by concert time tonight? David L

A friend just told me that Sting will be on the Today show tomorrow morning. He'll be performing and interviewed. I don't know if Andy and Stewart will be performing too.

In case you haven't heard, I won a pair of tix on sting.com to see Sting [briefly] sing at the Herbie Hancock tribute at the Thelonious Monk Inst. competition this Sunday eve at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood!!! Being a jazz fan, I will get to hear a bunch of jazz favs along with some rock/pop favs sing to HH--I cannot wait!!!! Chris Botti will be there as well, along with Nancy Wilson, Wayne Shorter, Terence Blanchard, etc. woo-hoo!!! So excited... night on the town--it's been a while! No doubt I'll be up in some balcony somewhere... although I hope that's not true... either way, I'm IN THE HOUSE!!!! Tell you all about it--hopefully there'll be stuff to tell!!--next week. tour goes through summer 08

The postponed shows have been rescheduled (except for Antwerp) and it sounds like the tour goes through June 08. Surely there will be some more US and especially west coast dates in the late spring with this schedule. They can't spend 6 months in NZ, Australia, Japan and China, can they? And I don't see them taking a super long break and then getting back on the road for four shows in mid June. Actually, I just re-read the bit from Live Nation and it scared me sh*tless. If Feb was really, really the original end of the tour, then there probably wasn't a plan to come to west US again. Argggggg! I've got to see more shows, but my travel availability and funding have shrunk so I was really counting on shows closer to home. From P.com: The itinerary for The Police World Tour has been extended beyond its original finish date to enable disappointed ticketholders to attend previously postponed shows. Live Nation Global Touring confirmed today that the tour, currently scheduled to end in Japan in February will be reformed to accommodate shows in June 2008 as replacement for the postponements. "We're thrilled to be able to bring the band back to Europe to make up these shows", said Arthur Fogel, CEO of Global Touring for Live Nation and Tour Promoter of The Police Tour. Ticket holders for the Mannheim show should retain their tickets which are now valid for a show on 5th June 2008, the Dusseldorf show will now be performed on 8th June 2008. Tickets from Manchester (October 15th) are now valid for 17th June 2008, and Manchester (October 16th) are valid for 18th June. Refunds are also available and ticket holders can contact their point of purchase. The postponed show in Antwerp can not be rescheduled and is now cancelled. Ticket holders for this show should return to point of purchase for a refund. The second American leg of The Police World Tour starts at Madison Square Garden in New York on October 31st and continues to Central and South America throughout November and December of this year. Actually, I've got the picture downloaded on my computer from a while ago. The photographer is Theo Westenberger. She's got a website and all. Not sure what video it's from either; just can't place it. Somehow I think that it's got to be a Synchronicity video though.... I admit though, the photo they're showing does look fake, but the one I have looks real...
