Hi-Christina Madera here again(_SpartanBZenyatta(a)aol.com_ (mailto:SpartanBZenyatta@aol.com) ). I don't like the way I'm being sent the police information and it's my fault. When I signed up to your mailing list again, it said "WOULD YOU LIKE TO RECEIVE THE MAIL IN ...something like a BUNCH/DAILY DIGEST? and I meant to click whatever one was the one where I could get information from each member(like in singles(don't know if that's what you call them or not but....COULD I RECEIVE THE INFO. IN THAT WAY INSTEAD OF THE WAY I'M GETTING IT? (Like now it's in a bunch or "BATCH" is the term I think you used on the registration form)...I like it sent where it's not in a "BATCH/CLUMPED TOGETHER"...Thank you and I'm not trying to complicate anything...it's just easier fro me to understand that way! Also, I think Stew and Andy are responsible for some under-rated gems. I love how in Does Everyone Stare, the couplets go from funny to heartfelt: I never noticed the size of my feet Until I kicked you in the shins and I wanna write you a sonnet but I don't know where to start I'm so used to laughing at the things in my heart Also, little-mentioned song Someone To Talk To is a lyrical gem. I knew a guy who did A&R for Sting and would call him Stinky to his face. I think Sting got a kick out of it, especially as it was said with a deep Brooklyn accent! Jed

Sting & "the copy guy"

Does everyone remember the SNL sketch with Sting and Rob Schneider's "copy guy"? "Sting! Stinglehopper! Makin' copies. The McStingster! Stingatola! Sting! Stingalingaling ding dong!" In real life, I rarely say "Sting", I always say a version from that skit, or sometimes I make my own up. I just realized I used "Stinginator" in that last email and I was laughing at myself. My favorite is "Sting-a-ling-a-ding-dong." I think he said "Stingorama" at one point, too. Does anyone know if that made it on to any of the "Best of Saturday Night Live" DVD's? Chris

Jenny, you picked my absolute favorite Sting lyrics. Think how powerful those words are! My second choice would be: "Seems that when some innocent dies All we can offer them is a page in a some magazine Too many cameras and not enough food This is what we've seen Driven to tears..." I was in Jr. High when Live AID and the Ethiopia Famine were being publicized and this made me really stop and think that the things I was seeing on TV were real people, not just pictures. It made an impact on me. I am grateful to Sting for that. Also, I would probably have never read Lolita if not for him, not to mention countless other books for which I am also grateful.
